French Hitching is a great way to elegantly and stylishly wrap a rock, staff, piece of wood, or any other rectangular/cylindrical object. In today’s video I show you the details of this tying technique, along with all the materials you’ll need to get the job done. Please Note: The use of Side Cutters can be replaced with Scissors, and the use of a Lacing Fid can be replaced with a Screw Driver or Butter Knife.

It’s great to see another video, my granddaughter watched it and ran outside and found a rock and came back in and said let’s do it. The rock was only about 1.5 “ and about .75”, so we used some micro cord and we did it. I’d like to show you but don’t know how to show you a picture. Love your work

whoo hooo you are back. I tied several of your bracelet designs to use as staff camp wrist bands. they worked so much better than the plastic paper things and was a memento to keep for after camp. Was able to get several boy scouts interested in knot tying from seeing the bracelets also. So win win.

Great to see you back. Have always enjoyed your creations. Have followed and tied most of them, from your early rope flog video to your published books. Sadly, I don't think I have any of them left - have given them all away, except the patterns I copied for a few personal slings and lanyards. Hope to see you continue on. Thanks for eady videos to follow is there a reason why you dont burn the edges at the end of the keather before tucking them in so they wont fray? I do jewelry bracelets and we were taught to burn ends before finishing i like idea not nie burn but worry about fraying can i use hemp to start on my leather is supply right now is presciously low and wondered will pieces hold up with hemp fabric thread? To begin with to i become more confident in my skill..i seen cane work on ricks and would like to eventuallyuse that tyoe of mefian but i think thats going to be another pricess of learning supply and skill..lol...so basic just hemp thread for now.....Mikelle art mom🎨👩‍🎨✍
