Hi Paul l watched your video on tying bands on hair rigs and l have to say l couldn't see why you do it that way. There are many different approaches but after tying up your way l have to say how much sense it is doing it this way. True it is a bit fiddly if tying thicker lines but it is possible with a bit of patience and l use a magnifying desk lamp to help.
Best instructional video on youtube for a new angler. Thank you very much. Other vids I have watched assume that you can get to the band already on the line. Nice one paul.
Thanks Paul....just completed several hook lenghts (MWG's) after looking at you video several times....cracked it now! find the last pass through sometimes tricky but I think ok now. Not so sure about QM1's tho', especially with thicker lines...can you do it? I think the eyes are slightly smaller
I just bought one of those Guru Hook boxes. Not very impressed to be honest. The orange plastic makes seeing the line almost impossible. Black plastic would have been far better. Secondly the box is difficult to open unless you have long nails. Even more difficult if your hands are wet. The catches on the box are very difficult to open cos they are so small and fit tightly together.
Hi Geoff, You need to use a line which is a polymer. Most new lines are co polymers which basically mean they are coated to make them smooth. Personally Daiwa tournament rig line is brilliant and won't slip.
Sorry mate tried it for 3 days still no different it doesn't work or its me had 7 runs (carp ) lost all 7 left with curly pig tail line ,going back to my hair rigs .
