These knots worked great Pete! Tied up the girlfriend with one to get out on the water, and tied one up when i started fishing! Two Big Girls In One Day!!
I use to stay at your Mom and Dads place on Spider Lake with my parents in the 60's Balsam Lodge. We stayed in one of the cabins as the lodge burned down before we stayed there.
Pete! Great video! I made a new drinkin game last time you were on the Musky 360 podcast! The game is: Take a drink every time Pete says "to a certain extent" Nobody wanted to do it with me, so i did it on my own. Never blacked out so fast in my life! Thanks to you i now have quit my drinking habit! Great info you give out always Pete! 😎👊🏻👍🏻
Hey Pete, what if Sasquatch, Meat, and I. We're going through the woods nibbling on mushrooms like Twizzlers with our tinfoil hats on ... and Came Upon a weird object... and we proceeded to open it up and find a little grayish blue man... so I ask you Pete maina will these knots hold up in securing this little grayish blue man down so we can proceed to probe him for ayahuasca..... you are a god amongst humans Pete maina... You are one of the six Kings of the padawans and we praise you Pete maina!!!
Hey Meat, I was wondering if you think this flouro knot setup would work for building the perfect musky stringer? Seems like it would hold pretty well to me.
Great video Pete! Say, if a person uses the Segar #130 with a Mustad clip using this knot creating a snare, and while placing a Titan with the EBS active, would it catch an extra terrestrial? Just asking for a friend.
Hey Pete. Would these knots hold to catch old man winter and send him packing until next year. Also what size seaguar fluorocarbon would you recommend for this task.
Greeting from KY. I use Fluorocarbon on my sucker rigs. My main question is when using a sucker rig on a opossum where do you put cork to help with floatation? In its mouth or butt? I’m afraid if I put it in his mouth it won’t be able to breathe under water . Thanks in advance
Yes, they would, and certainly the uni; however, as you drop to lighter lb test you should add more wraps. If down around the 14 level would be doing 6 wraps instead of 3.
Hey Pete. This will be my first year targeting Muskies, any tips you would give a beginner? What are some lures that seem to work just about everywhere? The rod I got is rated for 2-6 ounce lures. Any information will be greatly appreciated 😁
Biggest tip I would offer is build knowledge and enjoy. Technically nothing is the magic work everywhere bait. The absolute most versatile for all seasons are a cross between crank and jerk baits, that can troll or cast... Livingston Headhunter good example. But really need all food groups: spinners, topwater, soft plastics, cranks and jerks ... add as can to pattern what fish are in the mood for.
I saw your yt vid.. and it keept me dreaming that someday i can hould that things too.. coz now i'm just a begginer.. i save my salary for 2 months just to buy a UL ROD at lazada.. coz here in philippines rod & reel is too much expensive.. i hope sometimes u can give me a tips for a begginer like.. by d way sorry 4 my english..
Thanks Frank; hopefully things become for affordable for you over there; there are a lot of videos here on the basics of using lures and most importantly fish handling
Hey Pete! Do you use this knot to get the man-kini extra tight around the jewels while Mr. Twister is performing "we're not gonna take winter no more" at the local nursing home?!?!
Is there any truth to the rumor from musky 360 the you are considering getting the guys back together for the Mister Twister get it in the clam reunion tour?
I wonder which knot not to use to not catch muskies which may or may not be located in deep or shallow water while not using knots that suck (like muskies).
Nice video. The instructions weren’t clear, I tied this around the wrong part of myself and now my measurement in the length by girth calculator is half of what it was before this incident. Very snug knot that wasn’t going anywhere without a pair of scissors
I use that first knot almost exclusively but I just pinch the eye of the hook, wrap the tag end around my index finger while it is pinching the line and eye of the hook and then push the three wraps off my index finger nail and pass the tag end through the loop that I created with the three wraps. THEN lick the line so that the friction of pulling it tight doesn't burn the line. I fail to see the reasoning for licking the line AFTEr you pull it down?? At that point the damage (however minor) has already been done. You are shutting the barn door after the horse has run away.,
It's a good knot; do you know if official name. Yes, technically should moisten right away, but just helps slide; not at all concerned with weakening in reality in my experience
Good info but kind of bland Meat,.....kind of like dinner at the Smittys'. Spice it up next time. Get Gillespie on board, put on foil hats and pink bikinis and make some "Tex Mex chili". Next eat some wild fungi and show us how to tie schlubasaurus size fluorocarbon to your ben wa balls while puffing on a hot Italian Johnsonville like a Seaguar.
Firstly, use Izorline xxx copolymer… second, tie a simple advanced clinch knot! I throw 3-6+oz baits from time to time and have never broken off at the knot or had any issues landing huge fish from giant bass to surf fishing in Mexico!
