John Barr's Copper John is a must-have nymph in every river and stream fly fisher's box. It is also an excellent Stillwater pattern, particularly red or "rojo" if you plan on fishing Argentina's Lago Strobel, A.K.A. Jurassic Lake.
The huge rainbows in this lake love red patterns with a bit of movement. The Sexi-Floss legs of this variation provide just the right amount of movement, especially if you leave them a bit on the long side.
