Great video mate. I watched several others first, and tried some written tutorials, and as you say, they all get to the actual turning knot bit and go "and then just do it, and there you have it" cheers for actually going through the steps

I really like how you tie your bowtie, use to work on a train, wanted something a little bit different, so I started to tie bowties that was a number of years ago since then I have forgotten how to tie them so, that is why I've been watching how you tie one!

I know it’s 5 years since you made this video but I now finally today learned how to do this. 53 years old and I always wanted to know how. So simple when you understand but it looks so complicated when you don’t. Playing in a snooker tournament - I wonder will I be the only one with a real bow tie there :)

I have a university winter ball in 2 hours time and had no clue how to tie a bowtie. This was the fourth video I've watched and by far the best and most instructive, especially with the last bits that are most tricky!

The first video I've seen that shows what to do behind the first half of the bow. I was having so much trouble figuring out how to get the back half right until I watched this video.

Brilliant video, well explained. I was struggling with the critical parts of the technique which wasn't explained too well in other videos, but your explanation on how to position the fingers and how to find the thumb really helped me to get it right.

Excellent. The length, never talked about in other videos. perfect. The detail of how and where of what. perfect. I was asked to tie my employers tie for a very very important Banquet bowtie event with over a 1000 people there. He arrived with security walking up to me, handed me his tie and I put it over his neck and proceeded to nail it first try while on him with many people watching. Pressure like you would not believe. I snugged it and told him he was a handsome man. he thanked me. 100% true billionaire story.
Easy to follow. I previously watched X3 videos, and the instruction seemed fairly easy but there was a lot of presumption that people knew what to do next. There was a few bits missing in these other videos. This on the other hand is simplified for anyone to follow with ease. Thank you

The video quality I believe was amazing as well. You really went close up to the camera, which was so helpful. Alex had to learn how to tie a bow tie before he made this video and he had exactly the same problems you did i.e. details were left out on other videos and he wasn't able to see exactly what was going on. Great video! finally after half century of age I can now finally tie a bow tie. All the other tutorials stepped gloss over step 4 which is the tricky bit.
Thank you so much for making this video. I found step 5 critical, in particular when you explain that to tighten, you pull on the back of the right loop and the front of the left loop. Many other bowtie tutorials omit this detail! (I kept fiddling around with the loops and flaps, unable to actually tighten the center of the bow.) Also, your method of using a straight index finger to fold the edge of the first loop is very helpful.

After watching maybe 5 or 6 other useless videos, this one is actually worth it. Took me one time through, with pauses of course, but it works - unlike all the other useless videos
