How to Tie-a-Tie - The Quick and Easy 'Oriental' Tie Knot (Mirrored) 

From Hungary! I like your videos very much, learned a lot of about tie a necktie. I know the basic knots (4inhand,windsor knots, bow tie ect.) But my favorite is still the good old self-release half windsor knot. It is very formal but middle sized and work almost every situation with every necktie.

Hi, greetings from the Fatherland :) Germany it is. Since I am a reenactor of past times (Napoleonic most often) I now form up a USAAF pilot of 1944 somewhere in England. Got most of the items to present on events and festivals though I need to know whether this Oriental tie knot is the one the US Army Air Force officers wore, although they hid the rest of the tie under the khaki shirt - you might know some photos. So please tell me if this is the right knot to bind to be on the safe side while reenacting correctly - thanks and greets from the Rhineland. Stay tuned

So if the only difference between this method and the four in hand knot method is that you do it with the tie facing backwards and it ends up slightly more symmetrical, wouldn't a four in hand knot be even easier since you're doing the same method facing the tie forward?

I'm from India, where 99% of schools have a uniform. (The problem is, we have to source the uniform from the school and bear with their low quality fabrics and general fits that are designed to fit all body types) That being so, we don't have a tie in our uniform. My cousin's wedding is just around the corner, and I need to up my formal game.
