This is really beautiful. I am not a Sikh or from India, I am a Filipino man who really sees the beauty and respect these bring. I hope I can avoid being offensive and show the true way to show respect if I ever encounter someone who is a Sikh, I want to communicate and make maybe even best of the best of friends with them. So to start try looking a Indian fabric store they should have it, if not try Amazon. To tie a turban there is no need to change your religion or anything like that. Once you get your turban preferably cotton hand wash it before you tie

Hi thx for your question, I will try my best to answer it. The turban is not required but covering your head is in Sikhism. The turban represents 2 really important concepts identity and equality. Back then kings would wear turbans they were basically crowns. So our guru told everyone to wear it because everyone is equal and we should all be treated the same. Next is identity, turbans help sikhs stand out they let people know that is a Sikh

Back then there lots of mayhem in India or that region, immediately if someone needed help they would find a man with a turban and he would help them as it is his religious duty to do so. Things sikhs helped with was free slaves lands, bringing back captured daughter, and defeating tyrants. Lemme know if u have anymore questions
