Ok. This is the First of your videos I've seen and you gained a subscriber in the first 30 seconds. I have comments in two categories: 1- I was a museum rigger on traditional sailing ships. I trained in high angle rescue in the fire department. And I was a professional climber for a tree service. Knots were, literally, my life. 😬.... I love this hitch. Very creative. And your demonstration of the tying and use was very clear and easy to understand. 2- as a user of the internet... I'm never disappointed in people's ability to miss the point. If the introduction to the video, with it's heartfelt music and dramatic reenactment of what happens to thousands of innocent watermelons yearly, doesn't show you the value of this.... Well, I grieve for our future. Well done!
Hey thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. For me, the best thing about making knot videos is being able to comment with folks who have experience like yours. Thanks again!
@@crackerjack4790 I was on Maryland Dove (mostly a dockside exhibit) and I was a rigger at Mystic Seaport. I worked as a tree climber for a while too... Agreed, First Class Amateur has serious skills...
@@deltamico It was a pretty good season. Everyone that fucked around definitely found out. This system has held the heads securely in all weather. 10/10 would recommend.
Seriously, this is the knots/ropes equivalent of those ridiculous chocolate sculptures and cake castles made by expert pastry-chefs & bakers. People out here really thinking this is about saving the damn watermelons!
Thank you, just and understandably shown everything you need to repeat, used for such goals by a barrel node, but this method has its own advantages and one of them is "it's beautiful ..". Of course this advantage is not the only one, 😀 Thanks to Comrade)
how to carry two twenty litter water bottles on motorcycle/bike? with ropes only... also the the pressure should not be on the seat or tank. .... what is the max number of 20L water bottles can be carried? without making extra iron box
I totally agree with you Mr Leon. I just posted a post to another person who doesn’t seem to get what this legion is doing. Have you seen he’s automatic inline truckies hitch Mr Leon ?. Brilliant is the 1 word i think of when i talk about the way he ties that knot. Cheer’s…
Awesome!!👍🏻 Классно получилось, но слишком заморочно ради одного абуза.. а каждый так перематывать устанешь.. 😄😅 это в исключительных случаях применимо.. 🤔
I'm trying this out on a basketball because I ride my bike to the parks and don't want to have to carry it underneath my arm. The concept is practible...
I'm probably not going to have time to truss up the watermelon that I'm stealing from my neighbor's garden before the barking dog alerts him and he comes out the backdoor with his shotgun. However, it is a cute concept.
RFDave , the whole thing is about “KNOTS” , it’s a knot channel , the object is to show you a way to tie down particular scenarios in their different applications. I think he brings some great knots to the table for people like you for instance to learn how to tie such knots he introduces in his knot videos RFDave. So sit up & pay attention , you might learn something. Have you seen he’s other knot videos? , the INLINE AUTOMATIC TRUCKIES HITCH is a particularly a great way he shows you how to tie it. I can’t remember his channel off hand , but if you ever get the chance to watch him tie that knot , advisable to do so as it is a great knot to have in your arsenal of knots RFDave. Cheer’s….
Uh... When you reply to someone outside of the comment thread that they started (or replied to) they are very unlikely to ever see your message. You should use the "REPLY" option instead of the "Add a pubic comment..." option.
Anyone having a laugh is foolish. If half the delivery drivers my kitchen sources employ knew this type of care and shit, 5-15% of our received product would actually yield something. You're 1st class, First Class Amateur
🤔🧐 what if your line is too elastic and crater/ pothole comes outta no where then the laws of physics and inertial energy take over and watermelon, harness and all bounces up and down the SPLAT! goes melon anyway just a thought
Clearly that's when you construct a lattice below as an inertial dampener of sorts. Or just...y'know, put it in the cab wedged behind a seat. Either seems entirely practical.
So much work to carry a single watermelon in the back of the truck, friend, congratulations on the intelligence in making the knots, I think it's really cool and I admire the knots, but this is ridiculous! Kkkkk
it's quite interesting, but I think it's very unlikely that anyone would want to waste their time making this knot to tie a single watermelon to the back of their truck.
