Super simple elastic bracelet knot for a secure connection on your stretch cord bracelet. In the video we use 4mm seed beads and 0.7mm elastic to show our favourite elastic bracelet knot. Music thanks to IKSON! Song is ‘On the run’
Ive been struggling with keeping my eleastics tight for ages. So glad I decided to look again for tips. I was getting the knots but the extra steps you adviced made a huge difference. Thanks!
I haven't touched my beads in ages, but my toddler niece is obsessed with little stretchy bracelets so I'm gonna crack out my old kit and see about adding to her collection 😁
Im literally the WORST when it comes to being able to follow tutorials on little things like this, but i managed to follow this one in only three tries, thank you!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 KJV“ “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on HIM that sent ME, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24 KJV “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the LORD;” Acts 3:19 KJV Repent of your sins and be saved!! JESUS CHRIST died for our sins, so that we could have eternal life! JESUS CHRIST is our Lord and Savior! Repent of your sins and be saved!! JESUS CHRIST is our LORD and SAVIOR and HE loves you There is absolutely nothing more important in your life right now than making sure that you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Please don't die without knowing Jesus Christ!
HELLO i recently went back to beading and this knot tutorial was super helpful! had to practise a little as i didn’t close the gap well at the start. but I’ve got it now :D BIG THANK YOU ❣️
I used this tutorial when I was redoing my babies amber teething bracelet! Nice that it’s so secure and doesn’t have any sticky out bit of elastic to irritate her skin! Thank you 🙏🏻
after what seems like 84 years, I finally managed to tie a bracelet. I’ve given up so many times making these because I can never make it tight enough for it to stay but doubling the type of knot worked for the string that I used. I will be trying the bracelet glue method though because I don’t feel they’re secure enough in my opinion will be buying some at the craft store today. Will report back if the glue held up! ❤
I've watched so many videos and couldn't get any of them right?! 😔 YOUR video is the ONLY 1 I could finally make A crystal bracelet with! FINALLY!!.😂 I watched it maybe 30 times but I still got it!!!.my bracelet is Kambaba jasper and K2 crystal (Granite & Azurite)...I struggle with learning new things , reading, my whole life. But I was able to use your video still out of about 10 others I tried. THANK YOU
Excellent!! Your bracelet sounds beautiful! So glad you stuck at it, elastic knots can be so tricky - so keep practicing and having fun making bracelets 🌻✨
what i did when it kept breaking, put some clear nail polish and it was a bit more secure, i pulled it though while putting the nail polish. hope this helped a bit for some people whos bracelets keep breaking!
Yes that would work better than nothing! But nail polish/super glue can be brittle, the jewellery glue has a bit of ‘flex’ to it so is better but you can use other things if you don’t have any jewellery glue available! 💫🌻
I agree! Super glue is my secret ally in keeping my bracelets nice and secure. The jewelry glue is great as long as it sits for 12 hours in case you don't have super glue.
I used this when I needed to repair a bracelet my mom had that broke. I had the clear stretch cord to put the beads on so I did. I needed to figure out the knot for it so I watched this and did the knot. One of the beads had a hole that wasn't all the way through the bead and was glued so I had to drill a hole to fix the bead too. Whoever or whatever company made it made a mistake with it.
Thank you so much for this video! It was so easy to follow and also solved my problem of the bracelet becoming too loose while trying to tie the knot! I'm just starting out on Etsy and was REALLY struggling with the knots coming undone. This one actually feels sturdy!
Excellent! This makes me soo happy! Glad my video was helpful. These knots can be tricky! Quality cord makes a big difference too. Good luck with the new venture! 💫🌻
To be absolutely sure I won’t loose beads in case the bracelet breaks, I take 2,5 times the length of a single cord and go though all the beads a second time (I’ve got a head stopper before the first bead, or the cord through it 3 times when I put it on the cord). When I tie the knots as in this video, I wrap it around the first cord too. I use glue for the knot as well (Bondic dries in seconds with black light). If a bracelet breaks, it’s never on the knot.
I'm not sure why, but this is not working. I used 0.8 mm string and stretched it really good, and used seed beads and it didn't work. Do you know why? Thanks.
Did you take a lot of time/care on gently pulling the knot tight? You need to really make sure the elastic is pulled through the knot a little to lock it in place. 0.8 is getting a bigger size of cord and the bigger it is, the harder it can be. I’d try a thinner thread if you have any (0.5mm or 0.7mm) or some elastic threads are better than others. My favourite is stretch magic. Keep trying though! Good luck 👍
When I tried this the first time I used a something to put in the middle of the two knots like u did and pulled it tight but it fell apart so then I tried doing it using the same steps but without using the toothpick in the middle and that worked so you don't need anything to be put in the middle you just pull the two knots together. Not sure how it worked for u but it definitely didn't work when I put the toothpick in and took it out and pulled. You mentioned it would be loose if you didn't put anything in the middle but that wasn't true for mine, not sure why
It works without as well, if you pull it tight! Putting something in just helps to pull the knot down and the beads together so you don’t end up with a loose bracelet. Find what works for you and just lots of practice! All the best 🌻💫
Thanks so much!! Edit: Can I use super glue instead of jewelry glue? I just don't have jewelry glue on hand. Thanks again New follower here!! April from Southern Missouri!!!
My husband & I are in dentistry (& my outdoorsman dad taught me knots since age 6), & we have never failed so miserably at knots with this blasted material… still no luck after watching this & your other videos many times. Tried other knots. Could it be the .8 Crystal Tec bracelet material?
Absolutely could be the cord! The bigger it is, the harder it is to secure as well but some cords are just better than others. You could try a 0.5mm cord and then work up, but pay extra attention to pulling the knot right after/working some of the cord through the knot. Good luck! 🌻👍
I know! I was sure it would break I’ve never pulled that hard! Super strong! It’s ‘stretch magic’ elastic. Can find in quality craft supply stores or online. Glad you enjoyed my video 🌼
Glad you enjoyed it! It really depends on the size of the hole, and size thread you are using. If you are using 0.5mm thread for example you need a hole at least 1mm wide to fit a knot made with 0.5mm thread. 0.7mm thread and 1mm thread knots are even bigger (usually about double the thread size for the knot) so really depends more on the hole/thread size, not the bead. Hope this helps 💫
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏OMG BEST VIDEO EVER ON HOW TO MAKE !!!!!👏🏿🙌🏼👍🏿👊❤️⭕️🤎💕😍👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 A KNOT !!! Thank you so very much for sharing and caring !!! BLESS YOU 🙏🙏🙏🙏👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🥰🥰🥰⭕️❌
I use ‘Stretch magic elastic’ usually a 0.7mm. If I’m doing bigger, heavy beads I use a 1mm, but the bigger the elastic the harder it is to tie! The glue is ‘hypo cement jewellery glue’ Have fun 🌻✨
