The ICU Midge is a winter fishing favorite that should be on your rig all year long. The slim profile and heavy tungsten bead allow the fly to sink quickly into the strike zone. This pattern features an in-the-round profile, which appears the same to fish no matter how it drifts by them in the current. With a simple yet extremely "buggy" look, this fly is deadly in many situations. It can be used as your lead fly on an in-line nymph rig, as a dropper on a Euro nymph rig, and do not hesitate to utilize it as your nymph on a dry/dropper rig. Built on the ultra-reliable Tiemco TMC 2499 SP-BL in size 16 or 18, this fly should be a staple in every box.
