I fish this style dry 95% of the time. With only the CDC above the water and the body / abdomen below the surface. Fantastic fly. Easily tied. 5 % of the time fished with another dry and let it do what ever. Be surprised how many you can catch this way.
@@claytonballerine2280 Try it as a dry fly with the body / abdomen under the surface. I pinch the hook , tippet , and brush froggs Fanny dust only on the cdc. If I get floatant on the tippet I use zink to make it sink. Our trout see a lot of flies and are very tippet shy. It’s a great fly. Tight lines, Randy
