Some people would argue that the fisherman’s knot is actually an improved clinch knot. It is the original clinch knot but after passing the tag end through the loop above the eye, the tag end is then passed back up through the loop just created before tightening the knot. An easy way to make the clinch knot nearly unbreakable.
