In this video I look at two different ways to snell a hook. I also show you how to tie a worm harness for drifting and trolling for walleye, perch, and whatever will take a worm on the go.

Great video! I was taught whenever rigging a worm on the harness on the last hook to leave slack on the line so when a fish bites it jolts back to get a better hook set.

I like the easy snell, no doubt. It's easy enough for me to do when fishing flathead and I can't have lights on. Great video TFD, appreciate the info!

Okie Catfishing Thank you man, that easy one is the one I just recently learned from a friend at work so I checked it out and it seems like most people use that one. I wish I knew about it sooner!

Thanks for a great easy to follow video. Can never seem to find the artificial worm rigs in the color combos I like. Now I’ll just make all my own!!! Lol

These rigs work great with rubber worms as well. They last a lot longer than live nightcrawlers and the fish don't seem to care. I have caught plenty of Walleye, Bass, Panfish and even Pike on them. Plus, NO WORM DIRT!

Hey man, great video and really cool channel! You've earned a new sub! I appreciated your approach to this one and your willingness to learn new things while teaching others what you know. That's what you tube should be about. On the no-knot method... I've tied snells many ways on mono, fluoro, and even wire for those big Erie eyes. I like the ease of the no-knot but I do a couple thing differently. I like to do my snells in a fly tying vise. Frees up a hand which is always good. I also throw in a half hitch on my last wrap, before passing line back up through eye. If using fluoro or mono, I also wet things before snugging everything down. Thanks for the great content and keep em' coming!

I've got so many prob with them. my hands hard to make. but that the small prob. I've got hundreds already made and no walleye down here sucks so bad. yea i use for bass but walleye taste so much better. lol. but I've never seen that first snell note you showed. thank you. great video. god bless

That does man, and for as much as I miss the south and the amazing bass and flatheads we used to get... (and the gulf coast most of all)... I do love the freshwater species we have up here. God bless my friend!

I was just shown how to make this by a friend of mine. It's been a while since I've fished from a boat but he's invited me out on his so hopefully I can get some shots of it producing in the near future

I'm looking forward to video. Good luck! I've seen guys in Wisconsin lakes do well with them. I'll have to try it sometime.

I always use the "no knot" snell on both hooks and have never had an issue with them....FYI.

For your bottom hook you can use a Tye-Fast tool. Here is a demo: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-611JWRtkjOc.htmlsi=f53OQr2Fk_c8tdyH&t=250
