Great video. I actually like to let Tig be the 1st process to introduce my students to. I like aluminum because it freezes quickly and I can easily control the look of their 1st bead by running the foot pedal and talking them through it. My AC is not working on the school machines but I just uploaded a video of be going through the process with a student for their 1st time ever welding. I love teaching. Have a great day!

Hi Dusty. I thought Jody at 'Tips and Tricks' was the one and only welding channel, but you bring a different dimension to your videos. Great camera work.....And great tuition. Your artwork is fantastic as well. As a Tig beginner I'm getting a lot of help and encouragement from your videos. Many thanks and keep up the good work. Cheers from the UK.

Dusty. I do enjoy your videos that's why I subscribe. When you say you "cleaned" with acetone, which is the way it should be done, then touch it with your bare hand your defeating the acetone cleaning. It's like a bodyman (painter) cleans with wax and grease remover then rubs his hand over the panel to see if it's flat. Yes, I believe the high heat from the Tig torch should burn off anything but you never know. Just FYI, keep up the "learning videos (I'm 68 and trying to learn Tig welding)!!

Hoping that PT2 has the split screen pointing at the welder to see the variation in amperage rather than the foot pedal. I really do believe that it would help beginners to see how much variation it takes and how important pedal control is. Thanks for another great video!

Can you do a demo welding a piece of 2x2x1/4 aluminum angle (the end) to a flat piece of plate? Specifically on the inside corner, how much tungsten stickout do you use? What is your direction of travel? Where do you start and stop? I really have a hard time right in the corner. How do you fit the torch, feed the rod, and SEE what you're doing? My frames made with aluminum angle always look like crap in the corners. I really enjoy your videos...you make tig welding look so easy!!!

More! Gimme more! Need! Awesome Video again Dust! How about a Video about what Metals can be mixed and welded together to get some more color into an art piece. Can you Mix stainless, bronze, brass, copper etc in one piece? Would it spit at you like a Cobra? How about electrolytic corrosion? Would it just say "no" ? What goes together, what not? Also:I Love your positive attitude! Welders do connect, not seperate:)

Those are only used if you don't have a foot pedal. It allows you to ramp up and down without a pedal while using lift arc or momentary switch on torch.
