I live in east tn primarily fish Cherokee I’ve not gotten good at throwing this due to not understanding it. I’ve watched other videos but this is by far the absolute best instructional how to video I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to get back out on the water and give it another go

Thanks for sharing this technique. The fish better bite quickly because I don't have the patience to fish that slow. I will probably fall asleep and fall out of the boat and tight line myself to the bottom 😁

You explained this technique perfect but this is one technique I use straight fluorocarbon for. As always great video man.

I would like to ask you some question as a beginner to a professiona. I am wondering if I cast on long distance how to manage this slack or bend on the line ... it is perfektly stryght only if the lure is near to me but not if it is on a lond distance or let say in some deep whater even cant feel the lure if it is not closer to me. Do you use more weight or it is normal to have the slack or let say this bend into the line if you keep the rod end not closer to the water?

I like the loop knot idea! I didn't know this was called "tight lining", but I've been doing it for bass and crappie for years. I've caught a few really nice, BIG trout as bonus fish over the years too. Good instructional video, thank you.

Not all of us fish tournaments. Retired and just enjoy fishing. 1 lb or 14 lbs, all good to me. Love the vids. Good luck in the future

Hmmmm... wonder if it will work here in Texas?? I bet it will!!! And the loop knot?? I’ve seen that on someone’s walking bait I asked what it was and never heard back. Thanks for the info and thanks even more for responding to comments. I know y’all pros are busy and it means a lot. Good luck next year

I tight line 90% of the time. My go to is a Ned Bomb and a ZMan Bulletz. I use the green pumpkin color because it matches so well with a few colors. Then my other favorite is a TRD bugz in greasy prawn color on a orange slider crappie jig. Those 2 have caught some monsters!!!!

John Crews was contractually bound to not mention the Shimano Stella on this technique for us guys out in East Tennessee lol! Love this technique! Loop knot is the key. Those Diawa Tatulas are killer spinning reels for the money!

No sir. Use a black/chartreuse or gold/chartreuse hair jig or a dark color minnow like a bobby garland.
