This is the most comprehensive and detailed video I’ve seen in over a year. I learned so much, and far easier than in the past. If you don’t learn or retain even simple software lesson, like me, this is where you want to learn Silhouette Software! Thank you and please don’t stop teaching! I’m just getting started with vinyl cutting and tumblers. Finally starting to get more comfortable
Hey Raymond! I'm so glad the video was helpful for you! We gladly take video requests if there is anything else you would like to see! Thanks for stopping by! ---Becky
Awesome video! I learned a lot. I just don’t understand why you filled with color. And on one of the fonts you had 2 different colors. I’m very new to the silhouette but it just cuts right? It doesn’t print colors does it?
Thanks so much for another great video Becky! I’ve always struggled with trace by colour and your explanation has helped greatly. I also like learning keyboard shortcuts and the one for duplicate is one I’m sure to use a lot! 😃
Hey Joni, I have not because the Glowforge software already works great with photos. But I will certainly add this to my list of experiments! Thanks for the recommendation! ---Becky
You can find it here - www.amazon.com/Scrapbook-Paper-Rack-Slot-fits/dp/B09D25MHH6/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=paper+rack+tower+display&qid=1652361891&sprefix=paper+rack+tower+%2Caps%2C68&sr=8-4
How do you trace white images that wont trace because they are too light- example a lot of nitwit images have white picket fences and things like that and I cant get them to trace?
Depending on the images, I would suggest trying Trace by Color (Designer Edition feature) and possibly the Invert feature (Image Effects panel). Hope this helps! ---Becky
Im doing an embroidered small doll design too small to sew freely on machine lots of curves etc. so Now I have figured out all the embroidered details. what I want to to is cut around the finished embroidered design out about 1/16 to 1/8 inch out from the design. so how do I offset the cutting line from the embroidered item/design. Also how to make sure of the placement so the two match since not much room for error and end up cutting my embroidery. Thanks a lot Patty
Hey Patty! Do you mean you want to embroider your design and then cut around your finished design with the Cameo? If so, I have a video that may help you get the best placement. I works probably test with cardstock first also. Hope this helps! ---Becky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GbvgqSs2Zms.html
How would you trace an image on dark shirt transfer that has 3 shapes that make up the image leaving space in between each shape? how do you trace to cut so that the white part of transfer doesn't press onto the shirt? tia :)
Hey Tammy! I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around you question. Is it possible to link me to a photo? You can also find me on Facebook in the group I'm linking below, you can post a photo and tag me (Becky Dykes) and I'll do my very best to help you! facebook.com/groups/beginsilhouettecameo
Hey Chianti! You can import it the same way you would any SVG, I have a video on importing those into the software. Hope this helps! ---Becky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H-l3Fu_9zAM.html
Hey Debi! Great question! You have the basic tracing features in the basic edition of Silhouette Studio, you only need to upgrade to Designer Edition to unlock the trace by color option. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles @debimcoy You can go to Swing, com and purchase the business edition after you have downloaded the free version. It was only $48 at Christmas and it is all yours for life. The program is AMAZING!
Okay, im.so confused. Please help. I still have a Cameo 2 and never had a problem.with tracing any svgs, pngs, etc I have the Cameo 4 and wondering why does it require purchasing an upgraded software to trace the same thing i trace for free in Cameo 2??????? Please help. Thanks. Cause I'm wondering should I just keep my cameo.2 and return the cameo.4. Thanks
Hey there! No worries, the Cameo 2 and the Cameo 4 use the same exact software, so any features you enjoy with the Cameo 2 for tracing will be the same for the Cameo 4. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hey Sedira! I actually don't recommend using Trace and Detach because it can cause the inside of your design not to trace, it just keeps the outer most trace (like if you were tracing for a sticker or a print and cut design). Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hey Tiffanie! Happy to help! I've added a video recently on Compound Paths, also, maybe this will help a little more. Thanks for stopping by! ---Becky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZABdAoCrZhY.html
