Omg ... this is literally the first tutorial I've watched where the version is the same as mine ... I've been having to watch other videos and then figure out which buttons do the same on mine THANK YOU ...!!
Hi there, yes your tutorial yet still the best, I was doing stencils in another program, but now it seems more practical, and fast. Much obliged and cheers from Brazil!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I had finally found a work around, but after a few weeks of not using it, I completed forgot what I had done. Now I know the toast is the button. 😀
I am thinking out loud. You appear to be so efficient with the Sil, a little fast on tutorials but I watch several times. Just found you this week, I am asking......I have Sil used 4 yrs off and on been thru the Big C.., but I have always wanted to do the fancy monograms and glyphs. I have monogram KK have lots of trouble cutting still. Would like to purchase Samantha but scared of it. I have a sports glyphs in my fonts, try to use and it does away with the design I am trying to add it to. So much I don't know still. Any chance you could back up a little and go into detail with glyphs and example uses and delicate fonts. I am watching all yours trying to catch up. TY
Hi Erin, Thank you for a great video, I have just found your channel and have subscribed, there is so much to learn with the silhouette program, and it is up to date, TFS, Cheers Anna.
question I just hooked up my cameo and I’m trying to do a quick press with one of the pics in the library but it keep saying registration mark failed even tho I have checked on.. please help and thanks again..
Erin, DO you have a video that teaches how to make the layered pieces into individual pages for a layered shadow box file? One where you can do sections and layer then put a light behind it and the image is highlighted by the paper and the light.
I use a program that films my screen. There is an option on that to highlight my arrow. I select YES and the size of the circle around my arrow. Nothing to do with my laptop itself, just the extra program I use.
Hello Erin me again, is there a way to reverse the tracing? I'm probably not using the right verbiage but I want to see what it would look like if the cut out pieces are now the filled pieces.
So I don’t have a video on how to do this, but I’ll try to explain it. After you have the image traced highlight it and then on the right hand side of your screen is a Star - this is to do an offset - click this and you can change the size before you by apply. Now you will have to move the offset out of the way and click it, right click and release compound path and take out the bits in the middle. Then place it behind your trace - highlight everything, right click and make a compound path.
I used a black and white of my dog and when I trace it, I get a yellow blob. No part looks like a dog. I used a picture I took on my iPhone and made it a black and white photo
