It's not the hardware I'm using: RTX-3090 combined with an AMD5900X, so I think I'm fine here. Video footage is 1920 x 1080 px with 29,97 FPS. Instead of using 4K that might be the only problem here, but I'm gonna retry it with 4K. The masking with the above info simply doesn't work. Even the first frame I create myself shows differend after using the "track all frames" Look at the picture/film used: The hat she's wearing makes it a bit easier and the arms and fingers remaining inside the body also helps a lot. I've got a girl wearing purple on a red solid chair with green carpet and white wall. She moves cause that's what people do basicly. Even the red chair, a NON MOVING OBJECT get's "destroyed". Besides Pinnacle I've tried several other masking programs. The You-Tube promo's always looks nice. The reality is completely differend. The girl wearing green helps. The dog before a red wall helps. The black skinned guy before a white background helps. AI combined with Mask doesn't look/isn't ready yet. The how to tutorial is very helpfull.
@@HalfbreedTrini Red against blue of course is helpfull. Using it in 4K are much more fine pixels than 1080 or even 760p. The lower the pixel rate the more succesfull you might be.
I can't believe how frustrating this is. This is the main feature of Pinnacle that interested me, but I've tried it about 1,000 times, give or take, and can't get it to work. I've been using Davinci Resolve and I can get this mask tracking feature working in THAT program, but not this one.
I feel your pain. I just bought Pinnacle Studio 26 Ultra for the masking and similar features. It seem to constantly be glitching. The AI masking tool is not great and adding missing frames causes so many glitches that I can't do my edit at all.
How can you replace the background? I do a lot of basketball stuff and would love to be able to do some of what ESPN does, putting the subject (a ball player dribbling on a court for instance) on a different background (perhaps the background being the skyline of a city like New York or Chicago).
