How To Transfer Files Between Mac and Android 

As someone who prefers Mac OS for music production, but prefers Samsung Galaxy series phones, this video is much appreciated.

Thanks for the useful video, do you know if there are any setting we could make the file got preview in the File Transfer? As I want to move some of the photos and videos to computer instead of all files, I don't know which file I'm moving since it displays the file name only.

I spent about 90 minutes attempting transfers using Apps. not mentioned here; they both transferred files (usually) but finding them was the issue i.e. having shut down the receiving App. and with no option presented to save them; they weren't in the Files so it was a bizarre situation. AirDroid with the req't for a cable seemed antiquated but in light of the security element mentioned here - it makes sense

May I know where and how to find my deleted files after the transfer? cannot find the files neither on my phone trash can nor my portable hard drive(I transfer files from my phone to my hard drive)

I've used airdroid to send files between my old andriod tablet (cello running android 4.4.2) & and my old mac (2009 Imac running mojave) neither of which can be updated, which is fine, but is there a way I can get the android tablet to access a USB hard drive connected to the imac (drive is set to be shared over the network and both are on the same network. what I'd like to do is put the android tablet in the kitchen and access a folder on the USB drive on the Imac where I store recipes (or occasional cooking videos) and would save me having to fill up the tablet by sending everything over to it or remembering to send the files before I go to start cooking thanks

Everything worked great but when I opened the edited video file on my phone, it had white noise and no video. Weird because it has the thumbnail and exact length of the edited video

So you can't view the file straightaway? You have to move the file to your Mac first to view it?

Does this work with your iTunes music to android or no?

The android file transfer has a max of 4gb file which doesn't help me. I have a 46gb video that's an hour and a half long.. I can't find anyway to get it from my phone to my macbook. Does anybody have some advice?

I’m considering an android phone. I have a multi memory card adapter that I use for my camera pics… why can’t the files just be transferred on/off memory cards this way?

Well, I downloaded the android transfer app but when I open my camera folder it freezes and crashes. Kind of useless. Don't know why Apple doesn't just allow you to plug in your phone

Thank you for your tutorial. But have you all noticed how primitive it still is to transfer files compared to other tasks in 2022? I mean, this android app doesn't even have a square picture preview so you can know what you are transfering. So the best way is to choose the files by date and drag all of them, and then when transfered you can delete all the files that you don't need.

For airdroid, after entering the IP address on safari, it doesnt send message to my mobile. How to correct this.

A fine video, but no transfer. I have tried connecting and it doesn't seem to work. I have tried several times restarting the computer and connecting the USB cable. I have tried several USB cables. No luck so far.

If only it was that simple with Android File Transfer. The mac brings up a modal dialog saying OK (preventing you from using the file dialog), and the Android brings up a dialog saying "Allow access?". Which ever one you click first the other one goes off in a huff and disconnects, so you have to press both on mac and android at same time, spamming the dialog buttons until it accepts that yes, you want to connect the cable at both ends.

It won't open the box. It continues to freeze

Another reason I hate One UI... appears almost impossible to tx files via USB. I'm heading back to apple.
