How to transfer files to a Gotek Floppy Emulator 

It is theoretically doable. I used to try such things mostly with success. Get the latest version of flashfloppy to improve your chances.

Prob "ff.cfg" right? Just put it right on the thunmbdrive as though you were moving it to another PC.

I have a couple of videos on putting one into an a500. Closest I can get. Never had an a600.

Use the procedure outlined in this video to create a blank disc, and use that to transfer files back and forth.

Anyone familiar with the Atari ST? Have you checked the Atari ST forums or done a google search? Usually someone has done this before and they post it somewhere.

This tutorial is for the Amiga. The theories involved are the same for other hosts, but not specifically addressed. This is because I cannot possibly own and test all host devices. The main purpose of this video was to tell the viewer you do not copy the data files directly to the usb drive, rather you copy images of disks that contain the data. It is up to you to use the correct tools to create/manipulate images for your own host device. Fortunately there are tutorials for many other host devices that will help you with the specifics.

Hey I’m a dos pc used here. .Img will won’t I just ordered my gotek today on eBay. I have used .img on msdos 6.22. That should help!

@retrofriends let's say on a 16gb pen drive, and on it, there are 100 virtual floppy disk folders. Each disk can only be accessed only at a time, so on the geotek emulator, it would be displayed 01 for disk 1, so on up to 100 Like said, just say I loaded disk one to my midi sequencer, so file loads to sequencer without problems Let's say I wanted to save a midu sequence file from the midi sequencer So, I selected 02 floppy on the emulator to be saved to disk 2, which is an empty disk So it saves to the pen drive now on this pen drive. There are 100 virtual floppys. I have selected disk 2 or 02 on the emulator. But on saving the file, the sequencer or transmission error has erased the 100 virtual floppy folders to none, so on 16g pen drive on emulator is now seen as one floppy disk 1.5 mb in size All 100 disk folders are gone when checking the pen drive on a Windows system now where, before, there on the pen drive, there were 100 folders Do you understand now?

@@lloydrobertevans Thank you for the more detailed description. I am still lost though, because I do not have that equipment, and have never experienced that issue. I do try to help as many people as possible, but the comments section of one of my videos is perhaps not the best place for tech support. Go to my website, retrofriends.com, and follow the gotek support link. Make sure you have followed all the steps for your host device. Ultimately, you will probably need to join the Facebook group and search for your issue. If no one has posted about your issue there before, ask your question there.

This is a theory and practice video, not focused on what software a person would use. It's designed to help non-Amiga users as well. Thank you for your suggestion, I hope that somebody who would be in need of what ADF opus does will see your comment.
