fun fact: it took me less time to go to the store to buy a new Android phone then it did for me to move my videos and Pics from my iPhone to my PC.....thats a problem.
iphone is garbage, been trying to delete photos from my wifes phone and they always just come back even if i turn off icloud and some other shit. and sometimes in the middle of copying it just stops and some error code comes. why does this have to be so difficult????
@@cariusx Try EaseUS Mobimover. It's not too bad. Photos and voice memos transfer over fine.... videos don't transfer well though as the audio/image quality is lost or sometimes doesn't line up properly

I am a 74 yr old woman that is computer illiterate. LOL I just watched your video and I am hoping it will help me to take pic from my husbands phone to my Chromebook. I am having the same problem. Even just selecting ten photos at a time. Turning off icloud did not work. Does using google photos effect download quality?
Unfortunately import photos via the Windows 10 "Photos App" doesn't work, because "0 elements were found". Via File Explorer is say "Device cannot be reached", although I actually can see the photos in the file explorer.
To all the people who has the problem like: device error, etc. Try this: go to setting --- photos --- at the bottom choose for "Keep Originals" instead of "Automatic". It's about the vdo files HVEC or something that couldn't be transfer to Windows.

so... the first method did not work out as I selected photos for import but it failed already on the second or third one. While trying the second method... Well I just have way too many folders in the DCIM folder instead of one like you do. It's just a mess
Hi Kevin, I have had all iPhone since the iPhone 4 came out. I would always transfer photos via the old-fashioned way using the connection cord and the file Explorer like you showed in this video. Never had a problem with this until my last two iPhones, the iPhone X and XS max. I have a lot of photos that I tried to transfer in bulk via this method and about five minutes in, or even sometimes sooner, I always get a message that reads "device cannot be reached" and I never get beyond that. I've heard from Apple people that it's because of the specific photo files that the new IOS operating system uses and when the computer is trying to convert it to a JPEG this interruption always occurs. Some of these people have said to change the setting to keep original, however my Windows computer cannot open the new high definition file. Have you had this problem yourself?
I had the same problem too...but there’s one more option, you can use “FEEM” app both on windows and iPhone and then transfer all your photos and videos via same wifi. Works like Shareit but much faster. Hope it helps.
Check your Camera settings: got to Formats: check “Most Compatible”. This will only help with the new photos you take after you’ve selected this option(your file size is bigger). For the photos you already have, I would suggest getting a flash drive for iPhone like the ones from SanDisk. They’re pretty easy to use but it’s an extra expense. I hope that helps

What I would like to see is how to move all those photos instead of just copying. Seems like there used to be a "move" option but I didn't see that one ... just the share and copying options.
This was so helpful! I had about 600 photos to get off my iphone of my grandkids! I wanted room for more and I have a back up drive as well to keep them even safer but what a task! Do a video on taking the photos from the iCloud and transfer or copy to a hard drive as Im running out of iCloud storage. I have the 2 TB and they don’t offer more. Thanks!

why TF is my device EMPTY WTF. I connected the phone, trusted pc and when it pops up on pc it is empty WTFF EDIT: I closed iTunes, and then the DCIM folder appeared for me in My PC > iPhone. Also I have a lot of photos so I saved to my pc in batches rather than everything at once. It loses connection if u try all at once
Had the same issue. To make it work, with a cable on my PC, i had to right click on my iphone - import pictures and videos, ***than i had to look on my phone to allow my PC/device to access my iphone photos/videos*** -- Once you have imported all the photo, you can now go in your Apple Iphone folder (on your PC) and under it access the DCIM - 100Apple folder where you *should* get all your photos. -- If it's not clear let me know so i might help you, and probably many other, to fix it.
@@nicolastremblay8955 It was because iTunes was open. When I closed iTunes the DCIM folder appeared. After that it would lose connection so I had to save in batches instead of trying to save everything at once

Can somebody please help me? When I try to transfer photos to pc it goes well, without issue, but transfer only like 60% of images... what is the problem with apple? Oh good old android!!!
I plugged my phone into my laptop using a lightning cable and there was no pop up and every time I unplug and replug it it just keeps asking me if I trust this computer. And when I hit trust and enter in my device passcode, nothing happens.
Everyone that shows this process only selects a few photos to show you how it works. What they don't tell you is if you have thousands of photos this does not work and is by no means simple. All you get is errors. Video sucks and is a waste of time.
When I connect my iphone it doesn't give me the pop in the bottom right choosing the options of what to do.... Just loads up the Iphone file location next to my C Drive

I try using the file explorer the DCIM folder. The problem I have is that not all the photos are listed. For example I have 14,111 photos and the DCIM folders have 7,743. That's puzzling to me. Need help. Anybody?

I had the same problem. By the grace of God, it somehow worked after several attempts. So all I can suggest is just reconnecting a few times, and maybe wait a bit if it's not working. It took me over an hour to do this.
When I connect my iphone to my computer (I'm running Windows 10), the DCIM folder appears, but when I open that and go to the apple folders, only a small fraction of the photos in the phone appear. I may have 1000 photos in my phone, but only 45 of them show. How do I get access to the remainder of my photos to transfer into my computer.
Hi Kevin, thanks so much for these three options. Google photos works and so does File Explorer. But I'm having one issue I hoped you could help me with, as I am relatively computer illiterate. Before I found your video, when I plugged in my cable the first time, I got the dialog of How would you like to import and the list of choices, as you showed us. I clicked on File Explorer (and it told me my file was empty--I had forgotten to click "Allow" on my phone). I had unplugged and tried again and now each time I plug in, it goes straight to File Explorer, I no longer get the choice, How would you like to Import. It's not a big deal, but not being computer savvy, I was wondering how do I pull up the Import choice dialogue, in case I want it? It came up every time I plugged in my old Android. Thanks so much!!
I always do the first two methods you mentioned, but I find it a bit weird because not all my photos from the iphone syncs to the computer. Like sometimes I find photos show up in one method but those same photos aren't there when using the windows photos app for example, wonder if that happens to anyone.

Well, I have 30 folders on my I-Phone with over 25,000 photos, I only want to copy one folder from I-Phone and export to thumb-drive, When I export them it changes everything, when I upload them to I-Cloud it changes everything. The only I can figure out how to do it upload all images to I-cloud, then save to external drive, turn off I-cloud and delete all images off of my phone except the one folder with 300 images, and then turn I-clod back on and export to a thumb-drive. Years ago I could just download any folder that I wanted to and everything stayed the same. So now days they upgrade the software but they take away features that worked. I am sorry but I just do not get it. I see this more and more every day

I have windows 10, but the first two methods don't work. No dialog box opens, so can't do option 1. It does does show as an iphone drive on my computer and I do see "internal storage", which is almost full, but when I click on it says its completely empty. EDIT: I got version 2 to work, but relogging into my phone after it was connected.

I just got a new iPad and used RESTORE from a backup of the old iPad. What I didn't realize was that iCloud was 'ON' and it was syncing my photos to iCloud. I don't use iCloud. So, how do I get the photos from iCloud onto my Win 10 PC. This is great vid and I will be using the first 2 examples for sure. Lots of those photos I don't want to lose!!! Hi Kevin. I know this is an older vid, but using the Google Photos app, can I delete my photos from my Iphone after downloading ALL my pics to Google Photos? I just want to make sure if/when I delete my photos from the physical phone, it doesn't wipe the photos from everything else. TIA
Every single method I've tried to import original full size photos from my iPhone 13 to my Windows 10 PC ends up shrinking the files. So a 7MB file might up transferring at. say, 400KB which is not what I want. The pics on my phone are PNG. I have spent literally hours on this problem and I'm no further forward. Can anyone help please?
I have an apple phone 13 pro max and I have 30 folders with photos on them, is there anyway to export these folders with all of the photos? My main goal was to keep the photos in there specific folder when I export them. Is there a different program that I can download or something? I currently have I-cloud, thumb drives, External hard drive, I have tried everything I can think of, but when I export it just dumps all of the photos with no folders.
Im tired of lugging around my bulking Nikon D300 camera when I travel. Also it makes me stick out like a sore thumb in the middle of a busy plaza in Europe. But the main advantage to this bulky camera is that when I get home I just take out the memory card, put it into my computer and , DONE, picture on computer. Now, that same journey from getting the picture from my iphone to the computer is a much more lengthy process. I have to upload my travels to shutterfly, then download all the shutterfly pictures onto my computer. But for some reason the pictures from shutterfly take SO much more memory. 1000 pictures from my Nikon memory card and it takes up about 3.5 GB. Same amount of pictures taken from shutterfly to my computer is about a whopping 25GB…that’s hard my computers memory. When I took a picture with my iphone 10 and send it to my computer. I looked at the properties and it took up 2.25 MB. Then I downloaded a picture from my phone to shutterfly and then downloaded that same picture from shutterfly to my computer and the same pictures property was 7.62 MB. Why is the same picture almost triple the size, just by going through shutterfly? The quality doesn’t seem to be any better.
