In this video we show you step by step how to transfer a private number plate from a V750 retention certificate onto your car using the DVAL website :- www.personalisedvehicleregist...
4D number plates are perfectly road legal in the UK so long as they're made by a DVLA registered number plate supplier and conform to the BS AU 145 E standards for anyone wondering.
Brilliant video. Did not realise you could do it all on the computer. Really clear instructions and thank you for taking the time and effort to do this. Oh I wish if all instructive videos could be so clear and simple. Thank you.
Thanks for all your videos over 2020 both entertaining and informative. Have a amazingly good 2021 to you and your team. Keep well, keep safe and be happy.
Top Man, good explain my 1st time to use private plate on my car so easy for me after watching you youtube short video God bless you please keep making video like this to help people like me who is new to these things.
Hopefully the car dealer I bought my car from will have done this for me before I collect it. An easy enough process but was trying to avoid the insurance company whacking with another set of admin charges. Thank you for the video...
Excellent video thanks. Just been looking at buying a personalised plate but was not sure how much hassle it would be sorting out the transfer etc. Came close to letting an online company rip me off for the privilege. Good to know you once you buy from DVLA you have no other fee involved in the paperwork transfer, just need to buy plates. So in a nutshell you buy from DVLA, receive the V750, buy your plates then transfer online. I looked at an online company and for the reg number I want they would charge £375, going straight to DVLA for it £250. Your video just saved me £125 thanks fella.
@@coachgordonso not to put on your car but there is a registration fee of £80 to be paid to the DVLA but it is included in your plates price when buying direct
Hi 🙋♂️ very interesting 🤨 video like educational. I have done ✅ mine about two years ago and also I have another two number plates with V750 certificate. Thanks 🙏
Hello, great video..i have a few questions I hope you can help me with ? 1. Will I have contact the dvla regarding the current tax on my vehicle tied to the old registration number? 2. What happens to the old registration number . Will this be still tied to the vehicle when I go to sell the car again in the future to a new keeper? 3. Where does the new keeper get the cars number plate from ? Thank you
Great video thank you. I've just bought a 1 year old car off a dealership, do I need to be on the cars v5c document first before I put the registration on? As I've seen other people pick up cars with there private registrations on ready to be picked up.
How many days grace do you get after clicking the button in order to the new plates fitted ? thinks it’s 3 days - but maybe it’s less or more . there may be a day or two where someone has transfered the plate and submitted it online but still drives the vehicle on the now old plate - until they get new plates fitted . Basically - are you breaking any laws if drive the vehicle on the now old plates for a few days after submitting the application Is there a grace period ?
You can use form V317 and send this to Swansea or use the DVLA online service to "Take a registration number off a vehicle" and then "Put a registration number on a vehicle".
So i bought the number plates from swift reg , and in certificate of entitlement the purchaser name is swift reg, in your video it came in to your own name . So in the second section when they ask for postcode do i have to give the postcode of swiftreg?
I have just removed my private plate from my car , but want to transfer it to my new car , ( sold the other car) I have printed off a eV948? what is the next step?
