Ah, that appears to be a bug - when applying animated textures for water and lava, the UVs get completely crazy Just open the UV editor and put all the UVs into the 1 by 1 UDIM (for the water/lava objects)
@@SharpWind like all by hand. Like I think I found it. But should I make all 1 by 1 per hand? Like my UV looks like a spider web denser at the lower parts
@@SharpWind well all of them are in that square and some seemed aligned and some are just a mess and doing that for a large scene seems unreasonable work. I dont really know what to do
All of the individual UV islands need to cover the entire square Select multiple ones, the messed up ones, move the edge pixels (by box-selecting, so you move all at once), etc. Just get them to cover the square. It should take you a minute, but yeah, it is unreasonable work because its a bug and doesnt work as intentioned
animation is like an open door the more door you open the more you keep moving foward and learn new thing. thank you for all of the tutorial and hosted collab you've made for the community
Some Tips : ▼Mineways ► Create block faces at the borders unchecked = Will make your model without a border at the end of the model (inversely when checked) ▼ Blender ► When some objects is selected, press "/" key to enable local view (command to view selected objects only ) and press "/" key again to disable it ► You can use 3D Cursor to move objects quickly. To move the object to 3d cursor, select the object, press "SHIFT + S" (that's will bring up the pie menu) then choose "Selection to Cursor", to move 3d cursor to selected object press "SHIFT + S" then choose "Cursor to Selected".
I'm so happy someone who actually worked on Mine imator guide a way to step forward into Blender. People I've met sometimes complain how complex the program is and some false rumours about the program but now that you've made a video explaining in a "Mine-Imator understanding" , people gonna (for sure) step to the next level. Also waiting for the next Mine imator update video!
Another amazing video as always! I feel like a lot of us (In the MI-Community specifically) have considered learning blender due to its endless possibility, but the two main issues for me was the workflow and HOW THE FEATURES ACTUALLY WORK. It would seem that every blender tutorial was either outdated, or it didn't really explain things in a way I could understand. I am glad that you, someone who is able to speak in "Mine-Imator terms" has made this video. This is the best way one could hope to transition from Mine-Imator to Blender, and I will be sure to refer anyone interested to this video! Keep up the great work man!
Woo, glad to hear the good feedback However, most of the heavy lifting in this case is still done by Andrew here, as he explains it far more detailed than me, 100% worth the watch if you wanna take away more from this :)
CPU + GPU compute + NVIDIA optics denoising has entered the chat Blender is quick asf. Plus you can set a time limit for your renders Its much faster now :)
DISCLAIMER: I'm not looking to take away the hype from the upcoming Mine Imator 2.0 - and I'm definitely making a video about it when it releases This video was made to familiarize my audience with Blender, so I can start making more engaging content for them
This got me wanting to learn Blender again. Probably wont be making Minecraft stuff with it but hearing someone with a MC animation background teach this stuff opposed to a more generalized one like the Donut Tutorial made watching this more intuitive and interesting. Anyway, best of luck with the channel and all your creative endeavours Sharp. Excited for the return of SYSTM.
I enjoy the transitioning you've done as an animator! Thanks for all the Mine-imator tutorials you've given us a a community and now I'm interested in seeing how to be better at Blender!
hello sharp wind I am a mine imator animator I've been watching your videos for 4 years now ive learned a lot frome you and I think it's great you're expanding your tutorial's for other programs.
So I installed blender some time ago, and moving around was always a pain since my mouses are cheap and the scrollwheel keeps breaking... So I can't thank you enough for showing the "fly" mode thingy, I search the internet for it high and low because the creator of Black Plasma Studios once mentioned it in one of his videos, never found it, and then you just tell me out of the blue!! Thanks.👍😀😌
Thanks for making this niche tutorial! For a lot of seasoned Mine-imator users, including myself, this is a lot more helpful than the average Blender beginner tutorial!
Former Roblox animator here. I am happy that you enjoy the content you do. I am an animator too. Well, up there I said former Roblox animator because I animate Roblox before changing to Mine-imator and your videos helped me a lot. And I still learning Mine-imator. But I have a few videos uploaded and I want to learn Blender but can't. My PC spec is low but it won't stop me to become a Minecraft Animator. I want to thank you for your videos and inspiring words.
Aw man I missed your videos, It's been a while since I last watched your videos (2018). I'm in college now and I just want to thank you for inspiring me, I'm a 1st year multimedia arts student and you are one of many who inspired me to pursue this career.
I always thought blender was hard but you just made it like seem easier for me. But I'm still going to use mine-imator because it's easy and your tutorials are super good. You're just a legend.
Oh my God I didn't know fly mode was a thing thank you so much. I've lost the amount of times I've complained to myself about 'only' being able to orbit and pan
It's so nice to see a in-depth tutorial in blender because when I was learning I never really had this as I have to pay for classes. I started in 2019 but even though I learned stuff from this video, I hope people would give blender a try as this is probably one of the best software out there, and it's completely free.
guys!! welcome to blender!!!! and now i want more tutorials....just like you made of mine imator lol if that's possible and maybe now sharp's gonna make collab videos but its blender!!!!! i'm really excited to use it
Wow... You've come soooo far... Been subscribed since 2017 and went off around 2021... Came back to see the miracles this channel has become🥺🥺❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥✨✨
AZ an OG Back from late 2018 aroundnd your face rig video. I've been a .ajor fan for a long time. And hearing that SYSTM Might come back makes me so happy. I was featin episode 1, season of system and since then you u have changed my life for the better. I Used to be Called WilliamTubeHD BTW I have hope for system season 3 to happen, and I want to show what I have improved in since 2019. And I think everyone else does as well! Hope you have a great day today 😊 #nohomo
Great and informative video Sharp. I've been using blender now for a about a year and it is really good for so many things. I still struggle to understand nodes and compositing so would love to see a video explaining each node and how to use them but no pressure 👍
Thank you so much for this video! Your video's are what got me into animation, and I recently switched to blender, but I have so much to do to make the series I want to make, but no idea how to do so. I'm learning, as there is a lot to learn, but this video is really helpful! Keep doing what you want to do, and making expressive videos!
i kinda regretted not jump into blender now that i want to make a game with godot(wich 4.0 coincide to make blender integration more tightly) and now i kinda too lazy to learn new things so im sad to myself. but yeah yours video always made my day back then and now
16:38 3 ways to do that operation. 1 is the way you showed. 2 is to duplicate the face and shape it before extruding. Or 3. Right click to set your 3d cursor on the face and press shift a (while in editmode) and add a cube. Any geometry added in edit mode will still count as part of that 1 object.
Did anyone else first start animating in Flipnote Studio before eventually moving to Mine-Imator years later, then moving to Blender soon after? I can't be the only one who went through this sequence of jumping between animation softwares.
What a good timing for real I was searching how to learn Blender for Mine-imator user a week ago Currently I learning both Maya and Blender, and wanted to get used to Blender first My animation is so wacky I need to start from basic💀 Thank you again for another tutorial!
@@SharpWind my uni lecturer currently teaching with Maya, but I'll just continue use it until it over while slowly learning blender on weekend It feel awkward using it but hey it's better to get used to it
I really appreciate your effort to help content maker to bost their abilities to do their best and make infeluncial content, I hope my god help you and give you whatever you wish. however, I want you remember that your targeted audince are animators and those are few so please do not be sad if your videos got few viewers it is normal, but be sure your work is really great and most of the experts like you will likely not share their experience with others, so that mean that you are generous
I should do a tutorial I learned how to navigate the blender by following 4 steps (which I made myself and was guided by them when learning Blender) now it's a matter of time until the moment comes when I will create renders in Blender instead of... in Mine-imator...
@SharpWind I have a question that's more of a curiosity. Say I had a large piece of land in Minecraft that I wanted to use as a setting for something to happen. Would it still lag if I cut off everything underneath and above it and only have a large piece of the surface, like, say, a mountain range that cuts off just above the tallest peak and underneath the ground?
Sharp Are you planning to make blender tutorial? If yes I don't know how it call make tutorial how to make custom model like I priate chest in bps's priate derp Animation
I see to many animator friends change to use Blender, or give up to make Minecraft animation. I know why.And I sometimes ask myself should I change or not. But I always get the answers about it. I’ll make Minecraft animation to make my story, my all works. Because this is my “interest”,I almost have Information Technology to care my future. So I don’t worry about my animations not make money. For me,Mine-imator let me make the first skirt rig in Mine-imator community. I want to make Minecraft animations by Mine-imator. I always know I will use Blender at the future. But I know is not for Minecraft animation.
Simply using Blender doesn't make your animations earn money - I'm still doing all of this RU-vid stuff for free I'm just using it because it gives me more tools and freedom, and I'm teaching you this, so you can participate in my future videos (collabs, SYSTM, etc.) :)
@@SharpWind I’m not plan to use Blender to make my Minecraft animation. But still thank you teach my lot of skills. Although Mine-imator can’t give my lot of tools and freedom, but because of these deficiencies, let my style more different. I’ll still like these challenges.
Really interesting tutorial, however I seem to be stuck at 22:45 as for some reason whenever I click Create mc Sky and use the same settings as you, the Clouds and Control appear in the side bar but not actually on the screen itself. I'd really appreciate some help as I'm trying to learn Minecraft Blender. Thank you! :)
Are you in solid view? I think you need to be in textured view (the Z pie chart, bottom option "material view") If that's not the case, make sure the objects in the outliner (the library) aren't invisible. There should be an eye icon next to them, which you can toggle. Or try selecting the items in the outliner and press H, to toggle "hide" Im sure one of those should work
@@SharpWind Thanks for the reply. I've put it on Material view and made sure they aren't invisible, but the sky still doesn't appear. However, when I put it on rendered the sky/sun does appear but the lighting glitches on the map.
Ah, the lighting will glitch because Eevee is "cheating" lighting, so when you move around, it does a bit of calculations - when you render the animation, the glitches wont be present
I know how to use blender but the bad thing about is the lag (while I'm animating the animation) otherwise blender might be a very good software for animating
I dont even have a single modelling/rigging tutorial, let alone a playlist lmao I'll make more tutorials eventually (currently working on a big one), but it's gonna take time before they pile up
Turn on CPU + GPU compute, it'll run like crazy You can also turn on viewport denoising, so you'll get a pretty good idea what it looks like after less samples, which speeds it up a lot
@@SharpWind well I used the pre Blender three where it took really long for a less than one second animation. And thanks I will try but what do I do with fragments if denoising?
@@SharpWind well I used the pre Blender three where it took really long for a less than one second animation. And thanks I will try but what do I do with fragments if denoising?
nothing, it works perfectly off the bat you can tick the checkbox under the "render" dropdown in the render tab (camera icon), or you could go into the layer properties tab (3 images icon) and check on "denoising data", and then add a "denoiser" node in the compositing window the second method works slightly better, but requires a bit more work. If you wanna denoise only the viewport, there's another checkbox under the "viewport" dropdown in the render tab
