Great tip using the bucket to shift the tracks over to get even on the lowboy. I'll definitely be trying that out next time instead of trying to shimmy on the deck 👍🏽
Being new to Heavy Hauling, I thank you for taking the time to do these videos. I have learned from them and they remind me the "Right Way" to do things. Take the extra couple minutes to do it right. 💯👍🏻 Thanks Again Brother, and stay safe👊🏻
This video makes me excited for my future in hauling heavy! my question is how did you learn to drive the excavator and did you ever get nervous hauling it at first? Thanks for everything!
If you’re gonna haul heavy equipment then you need to know how operate every machine imaginable, at least where I work you do. Excavators, dozers, track loaders, Mills, pavers, shuttle buggies, road wideners, etc etc
@@svldvcit’s almost one of those things once you figure one out, you kind of get the understanding how they all work. You just learn as you go, which is how I learned
Was the gravel part of the parking area too poorly compacted to drop the low bed trailer on ? I used always be leery of walking onto a newish clean concrete pour with track machines , the edges chunk out so easily, also ,,that’s the spot to clean the track assemblies. 😊. Good video
❤❤ GOOD EVENING I JUST LOVE THE WAY YOU LOAD THOSE EQUIPMENTS. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US HOW TO CHANGE THE BUSHING ON THE 5TH WHEEL THANK .I TEXT YOU YESTERDAY ABOUT YOUR TRAILER IT LOOKS VERY GOOD 👍🏽 HAVE A BLESS WEEKEND AND STAY SAFE 🙏🏽
I was taught that connecting binder's to the track was incorrect, the excavator has tie down points. I don't guess dot is same every where. Because you'd get a ticket for that here. You can binder to the track but only as a backup to tie down points.
Excavators often don’t have good tie down points in my 40 years of heavy haul I have seen two excavator roll overs while in transport , both times the trailer with excavator while rolling on its side , both times chains tied to the tracks ,
Old , now retired heavy equipment hauler here …….Was the gravel part of the parking area too poorly compacted to drop the low bed trailer on ? I used always be leery of walking onto a newish clean concrete pour with track machines , the concrete edges chunk out so easily, also ,,that’s the spot to clean the track assemblies. 😊. Good video
Hey man great videos! Please keep them coming. Are you staying under 34000lbs on your drive axles or do you have special permits to go over that weight on the drive axles?
Love the snap back hats .... yellow and black is Kool..what other colors do you have and how much .......your videos are awesome... learning a lot from you .... would love to do that type of work..but people on the west Coast are hater's....they don't want to train a person and let him make some dummy money...to feed himself....I've done rental equipment...but always wanted to do the big boy stuff....they don't want to give a poor Mexican a chance over here....... be safe and thxz for your videos
Is it illegal to chain down with the 5ft chain to the tracks and binder to the trailer instead? Just wondering because in Canada we have terrible roads i would want my binder on the trailer. if its allowed, so nothing hits it while rolling. Thanks man learning a lot!!
start wherever you can even driving a box truck doing local delivery you gotta make the job interesting get into it even if it seems boring dumb, cuz before you know it you’re driving this and odds are in your favor not enough people want to do this
Great video!!!! Between this video (the newest one for now and the last video) been watching videos from your channel you made back in 2018 and 2019. They're all videos prior to you purchasing unit 95. The content now is great but that content is great too. The videos with the Mini Mack and the Cat 259 D skid steer even unit 75 prior to you restoring it. Do you have any plans even if not soon to customize the Mini Mack like you have unit 95 and unit 75?
Great vid. But could you on the next vid talk a little about chain working load limits and how much the machines weigh..? Also why don't you use the flip out extensions? Do you not need it on this wide track?
Boy a empezar a trabajar con los oversized que compañías tú trabajas quiero empezar como owner operations abisame que company trabajo thank you y me gustó tu vídeo 😊
I've hauled quite a few excavator's that size before, and I always extend the wing's on the side of the trailer and place 2x10 true size oak boards on top of the wing's when I was wider than the trailer. What's the reason you don't use the trailer width extension?
Most the times in already on the road so don’t have time to go pick up my boards. Plus most machines like this one as long I have 1/3 of the track inside should be good
Tu deverias un dia de esto invitar uno de tus seguidores para darle un pequeño training de como asegurar esas escavadoras yo estoy loco por comenzar y dar ese paso tengo 2 años en flatbet pero no tengo ese training en heavy load
Can u swing out the extenders on the side of the lowboy and put a board across them like a 2 x 6 to let the tracks sit on so they don’t hang over the lowboy so far.. just asking I don’t know just a thought..also love the Hat brother u can’t go wrong with the CAT that Black and Yellow is the shit lol
The ground being dry. I would have loaded on the dirt and avoid bringing the dirt up on the new concrete. That’s just me as I used to hate sweeping the dirt off concrete.
It looks so unsafe when more than half the track is hanging over the deck edge. Do they make trailers that have hydraulicly activated outriggers along the length or partial length of trailer?
You really shouldn't put your hands on the headlight thing cuz the grease and oil from your hands can affect the paint and make it dull faster and that spot and if you're a perfectionist like me it gets on your nerves when you see handprint on the hood LOL
Hey boss love your videos just found them today! I’m also from Houston! I was wondering if there was a way I can get in contact with you so we can talk about your setup & tips on running a low boy
i have been driving trucks and soon to get a job of driving a trailer low bed but am i the one who load those machines or the operators ? and what are the some of the sings to not foregt
chino44m 1 second ago My friend they are going to put you in the same category as the operator, you could have cleaned it in the dirt and show them that you're better than that. a good driver leaves the area clean I did it for 40 years ( sorry I mention it but think about it. )
Is that a permit that the company/owner-operator must have or the driver must have personally? I'm assuming you still need to possess a class A/CE driver's license...
Hey bro what rears do you have on this truck? I have 13.500 front and 40k rears and i wonder if i can pull something like this with my truck. Thank you
Just a few questions. How do you plan your route with a lowboy, do you just try to avoid train tracks altogether, or do you plan it like you normally would with a normal truck route just watch for higher inclines or bumps. Also how do you know when you need an escort
Good question. I will be waiting to see response myself. We use a permit company that dictates the route we are supposed to go. They have all the fancy computer stuff that makes it easy.
When can I get my training in u look like the guy that train well for the truck and trailer and equipment now just between us the price and one more ??? I see u got the dumpster how much do they cost I won't to start my own dumpster business but I won't mine out of Houston I am from the country that would be nice.... AVLIA THOMAS STILL GOT TO GET MY MEC WORK HAS BEEN SLOW 🐌
