Famous Armenian-Americans: Cher, the Kardashians, Andre Agassi, William Saroyan, Jack Kervorkian, George Deukmejian, Eric Bogosian, Jerry Tarkanian, Arlene Francis, Andrea Martin, Mike Connors (Krekor Ohanian) - "Mannix", Dita Von Teese, Adrienne Barbeau, Mark Geragos, Paul Kazarian, Kervork Hovnanian, Armen Keteyian, Kirk Kerkorian, Ara Parseghian, Armand Zildjian, Vartan Gregorian, Steve Sarkisian ... and the list goes on. Epirus and Western Macedonia are Greek and not Albanian "ancenstral lands", the regions of Kosovo and Montenegro were never Albanian in any historical context, you dufuses have to stop making up stuff.

@@mackjeez i would recommend research epirus and u will see they are a group of people different from the hellas and illyrians. Ancient greek historians called it barbarian land and believed them to be descendants of troy. I come from north epirus and though we can speak greek we dont consider ourselves greek. But we do acknowledge the greeks did build colonies amongst the illyrian and epirus tribes and the greeks did have a significant impact on culture, trade and politics. Just because the british colonized north america it does not mean that they are autochtonous to north america.

We met the same lady! She worked for the Hop On Hop Off bus gave us wine and a nice tour of Tiblisi. She said she was ethnic Armenian but lived in Tiblisi. The best way to go to Yerevan is by Soviet style first class overnight train for 40 euros. I heard a lot of those mini buses had bald tires!

1) Gabriel, replying to your narration to the young woman, wearing glasses (dressed in Black) who you met, just before you took off for Armenia: I think one can walk in the capitol of Oman, at 02:00 AM and still be safe, ONLY IF ONE IS A MAN. 0:29 Well distance from Tbilisi to Yerevan is 276km/171mi (57h by walking according Google maps) and from Tbilisi to Ayrum (17h by walking), next place over border place, is only 86km/53mi. I am sure Gabe could do it on foot

Were there no border controls between Armenia and Georgia? Was it just only a sign that you entered Armenia?

Yes there was a border control, but I didn't film the crossing since it can be a problem if you film government officials at the borders sometimes.

Pretty sure you could have rented a car in Tbilisi and driven it into Armenia. I have checked once before because I almost visited there, and most of the rental companies allow cross-border travel between Georgia/Armenia.

I dont think so because gabriel likes to travel to countries he can move freely if your a US or Canadian Citizen you need to beescorted everwhere in Iran.

Yeah Americans can't travel independently in Iran, which sucks. I really don't like traveling on tours for longer than a day or two or three. To be stuck on a guided tour for a full week or two around the country would be a bummer way to see the country. Wish that wasn't the case, because Iran sounds so amazing.

Seis Keizer Most travelers like Gabe have T mobile or Google and they work in a lot of countries. T mobile works in most European countries. Not all but a lot of them.
