I am so happy to learn an Indian and Turkish together. There are so many misconceptions between 2 countries and not know each other's countries but just some gossip. I hope you'd be a guide to them. Also, India's enemy Pakistan is Muslim puts fuel to gossip so to some Indians all the Muslim countries become an enemy. I read so many posts from Indians saying Muslim countries are poor because they're Muslim 😂Actually, it's the opposite. The top richest countries in the world are Muslim countries. Those countries' governments until recently even gave newlyweds their own house a wedding present. I think some people confuse about what rich is. The USA is not really rich but powerful and advanced. I have been to the USA. Some parts are even worse than a 3rd world country. I think because of the war ( and we all know how it started on lies " Saddam having WOMD ' but actually oil) . Previously , even Iraq was rich but now they can't afford education, medicine....And Afghanistan is the same since the Cold war ' Russia. And the USA training Taliban against Russia' And then the USA occupation destroyed the country. Anyway! I hope some ignorant Turks also would research about India instead of just believing gossip.

Went there in March 2024. Great place but ruined by inflation and currency fluctuations. Cab from the IST airport is 1000-1200 TKL, stayed near Taksim square, literally everybody is trying to scam the tourists, the price on the menu and what you pay is always more, bars/pubs will add extras to your bill, charge commision if you pay via CC.

If I may, Bosphorus is a strait not a river. Per WikiDiff "As nouns the difference between strait and river is that strait is a narrow channel of water connecting two larger bodies of water while river is a large and often winding stream which drains a land mass, carrying water down from higher areas to a lower point, ending at an ocean or in an inland sea".

I was there a week ago and one of my fav travel so far! People are so nice and friendly. Food is delish and weather is really good not too hot and not too crowded. I would say Kadikoy on the Asian side is the best Asia to stay in. Best nightlife over there and it's right next to the ferry if you want to go to the European side. They have a big park on the Asian side near kadikoy and it's a lot less crowded.

Keep in mind, if you want the cheap food, goto the Asian side of Istanbul, not the Europe side. Europe side is good for the tourist sites, Palace, Mosque, etc., Asian side for the food. I learned that myself recently when visiting. None of these videos mention that for some reason.

If I may; Abi refers to older brother as sign of respect. Abla is for older sister. Amca (amja) meaning uncle is to respect the older male and teyze (aunt) is for older lady. Raki is best with appetizers over a leisurely dinner. Not with tea. Ice will help. Take a sip and follow it with a sip of water. You will quirky get happy. No hangover next day.
