This week, since I'm traveling in my hometown, it got me thinking about the system I use to travel with oil painting supplies and how streamlined its become!
In the past I've had trouble flying with oils. I've had things removed from my suitcase and arrived at my destination without all the materials I need to do a painting!
But I've fine-tuned the system and now it's a piece of cake, guaranteed success every time! I don't even need to stress about it or think about it anymore!
Basically as long as you're using paint that are just pigment and oil, and you're not bringing any toxic mediums you will be ok as long as you follow the packing advice in this video!
Also if anyone ever asks about your paint, for example if you're crossing a boarder, just say that they are "vegetable oil pigments." It's completely true and somehow this exact wording is what they need to hear!
How do you travel with your supplies? And do you have any traveling with art supplies horror stories?
BTW, I'm offering a FREE eye painting webinar on June 8th at 1pm EST (convert to your time zone here) which you can sign up for here to reserve your space:
