👇WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Seasonal Flank Alopecia. It is not painful or itchy, it's just loosing hair and is a cosmetic issue! !
Seasonal flank alopecia is noticed in dog's in the Winter. It may start to happen around the month of November, when the time change that shortens the daylight exposure to animals!
FACT - There is no true cure or treatment for this. If your really worried a Skin Biopsy for $250 to $750 bucks can confirm its this! - It may take 6 to 12 months for the hair to regrow and it usually does with seasonal alopecia, so PHEW! Your bulldogs hair should grow back - and if there are no other skin infections.
💊 SUPPLEMENTAL TREATMENT OPTIONS:
1. Melatonin 3-6mg twice a day for 2 months helped the hair grow back.
- Make sure there is no fake sugar like xylitol in it! That can kill your dog.

2. Fish oil pill - 1,000mg (one pill) per 30lbs of body weight. 2 pills daily wont hurt them if your dog is 50lbs. This nourishes the hair-follicle and promotes healthy hair growth and reduces inflammation and dryness.

3. Bathe your bulldog with medicated shampoos for any bateria or yeast infections happening on their skin.

OTHER THINGS THE HAIR LOSS COULD BE FROM:
Some hairloss issues are so bad due to Skin infections that they need antibiotics and antifungals prescribed to get them through it.
They could also have a non-itchy Mites like demodex and need a bravecto pill to help! 👩⚕️ your vet can prescribe you this!
They may also have skin allergies and allergy pills and shots could cure them right up!
They also may have an underlying hormonal disease such as hypothyroidism or cushings disease and need bloodwork to diagnose this. If that is the case, medications to treat the underlying disease will help treat the skin.
And lastly, this hairloss could even be an autoimmune disease and your dog may need extra help with the cheapest drug being Steroids for short term relief of itchiness then, Cyclosporin A, vitamin A and zinc supplements and even Tacrolimus eye ointment rubbed onto the skin! To treat the hairloss!
