THANKS for the tips! PAPER TOWELS are very absorbent so whatever you spray near it will SOAK ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Use plastic saran wrap to protect areas you don't want sprayed. Great ideas in your videos, so thank you a lot!

I bought a pochette metis reverse and my S lock thing was crooked too...when I brought it back they told me when I close it the flap just had to be re adjusted...I refused to accept that so I exchanged for another too. $2,000 for a bag that is not perfect is not acceptable!!

Hi Shea, How's the vachetta on your Pochette Metis? Do you think it patina quicker after you applied the Apple Garde? I applied AP on my Neverfull back in June and I probably used the bag 5x total since buying it and now the leather is really golden/honey in color. I feel like the Apple Garde made that happen quicker. Do you think you can post an update video on your Pochette Metis? Thank you.

I actually did THREE(plus the interior) coats on my vintage LV musette tango, and the patina remained a beautiful honey brown. 💗💗

Thank-you for this video. I bought my daughter a mono delightful , pre loved. It is in very good condition & we want it to stay that way. She is a college student & since the delightful is a big bag she wants to be able to get use without babying it to the extreme. (Will leave it at home if raining, but as you said if caught in the rain wants it protected.) thanks again as we did not know what product to use & are much more comfortable watching it done.

I treat all my shoes, purses, and wallets with leather oils, salves, or sprays before wearing. Some multiple times a year, others, when I am shifting seasons. if the inside pocket has four small holes where the lock is that is for the four star screws that you can loosen and straighten out the lock and also to remove to clean the lock without damaging the canvass . i remove mine to clean

Your Pochette Metis looks perfect 😍👌🏼 The original one was definitely crooked. That is so upsetting that they called you just tell you there was nothing wrong with the bag. We all saw it very clearly and it was too obvious to not send back. I recently brought in my Empriente Key Pouch in noir, that was in perfect condition until just a few weeks of having it, it started to peel. When I took it in, the store manager gave me the run around about it being natural leather and that it happens to natural material. I asked if she's seen or heard of this happening with other empriente leather pieces and she said, "Honestly, no." 😾 She also peeled off the piece, which seemed like a piece of clear plastic coating and said, "Oh, it was just a sticky thing that got stuck to your wallet." 🤔 I rubbed at it and picked at, before taking it in, to make sure it was actually part of the leather. I pretty much double checked that I wasn't crazy and seeing things, but it was really part of the leather. I closely examined it after she peeled it off and I could see the exact spot where she peeled it off. It looked grainy and faded in that spot. She went on to tell me that all I could do was exchange it for the exact wallet style. I looked at the one they had, which was only one in stock and it looked used compared to my key pouch. The leather was worn and not as stiff. It honestly looked like one that was returned. I just told her that I'd sleep on it. She could tell was irritated and that's when she all of a sudden was nice and gave me her card. Instead, the next day I took it into a different store and had the exact opposite experience. A sales associate, not the manager, took one look at my wallet and said, "Louis Vuitton stands behind our products and if you ever find anything wrong with anything you purchase then definitely bring it in." She brought my wallet to her manager and came back out and told me that I could exchange for anything in the store with the credited amount that I payed for my wallet. Just the difference in customer service was crazy to me and to think that the first lady I dealt with was a manager, who really should have known better is even more crazy to me. Oh and she also told me that, "most people wouldn't even notice it." 😤 My husband noticed it, my Mother-in-law noticed it through FaceTime and my Aunt, who was with me when I brought it in the store, noticed it too. Well, I'm not most people and when I pay a pretty penny for something you better believe that I'm gonna be picky and notice EVERYTHING 😏 Sorry for the rant, but I thought I should share ☺ Also, it wasn't just that one piece that peeled, the glazing on the edge was peeling too 😩

Hey Shea, Long time viewer. :) I’d love to see an update video on this now that it’s been a few years. Have you noticed any differences? Do you recommend to do this with brand new bags or do you think it’s better to let the bag be for a bit before you spray?

This was so awesome! You should definitely do an update once you get some use and if you do get caught in the rain as to what happens. I've never treated any of my bags but if this works I may be changing my mind about that lol!

Seriously? What kind of customer service is that? The lock was not on straight. Either way, they shouldn't of said anything as if they were doing you a favour for refunding the money. I did however appreciate you showing us how to protect the bag!

I think LV have had a LOT of returns and issues with this bag lately and are obviously trying to draw a line with what they believe to be "nothing wrong" tbh, it seems to me like the popularity of this bag increased the demand and they are rushing its production! If. I save up my hard earned money, finally purchase a bag, I expect perfection! It was definitely crooked, they are wrong about that!

I've been waiting for this video Shea ever since you mention about his in your previous video. At first when the color changed I was scared thinking that does it stained or what!!?? I'm surprised LV customer service would say such a thing to a loyal customer and a prominent influencer. If anything, they should have offered you their apologies and given you a free SLG. Just from watching your videos the past few months, I have fallen back in love with LV and purchased a pochette metis for myself! I also noticed their customer service was seriously lacking - like they didn't want me to buy the bag. Now I truly value the service and quality of Chanel.

When I used Apple Guard on my bag, I got a gray film of dirt on the vachetta within a couple of weeks. It did not seem to have darkened the vachetta, and it does prevent water stains.

How often do you need to reapply the Apple guard?

I'm so sorry LV went out of their way to tell you that 🙄 I just received my pochette metis and the S lock was also mis-centered! I showed my husband your unboxing video and we had a good laugh because that was my reaction *exactly* when I opened mine! I took it to the LV store today and the manager agreed it was not centered properly and thus defective (it doesn't lock properly either- it pops open). Geez Louise! Your lock was clearly lopsided also but I'm glad you got another one! Thanks for sharing your Apple Gard-ing. I'm thinking of doing the same!

Louis Vuitton customer service needs some customer service training, how unfortunate to hear. It was totally not up to par, and I would have been upset if I had received that bag too.

I do the same spray my bags and nothing happened to them and i fee ok and relaxed if i am out and raining 🌧 i dont jaid my bag and nothing will happend.. so lether its lether and we jave to tread them tne same and when is petina its going to petina all ove the same ..and its wonderful thanks for shereing

Shea, love your channel :-)... so I did not spray my Speedy 30 and unfortunately, it sprinkled one day and now it has some water stains on the vachetta leather particularly on the straps, this saddens me and makes me angry, any suggestions?? I wished I new of your channel before now.

So I literally just sprayed mine and I did the little side tabs too where the strap hooks on to. Now deciding whether or not to do my Neverfull MM 🤔🤔

I just watched your video on your pochette Métis and spraying apple garde on the leather. I just bought one yesterday and I’m thinking about spraying it. After 3 years how is your holding up. Any water marks on it? Does spraying it void any warranty with LV if I were to have issues later on?

I'm glad that you left that part about LV in the end. If they don't see anything wrong with it, does that mean they will put it back into stock and ship it to someone else? Also, I noticed it as soon as you pulled it out of the dust bag. I ordered the Palm Springs mini backpack online because the closest store is like 6-7 hours away and I really looked over the bag after seeing reviews about quality issues such as crooked canvas/leather tab.

I bought the Apple conditioner, what is a good cleaner; the matching apple one? I do think I’ll invest in the rain garde as well
