Thank you for your question! The Fjord's two colored mane is a very rare trait almost exclusive to the breed. The Fjord trim (which has several names) is a trademark of the breed that goes back many, many years as the traditional style, and you can spot a Fjord instantly by it. Though some owners don't trim their Fjords' manes, I love the clean, well kept and elegant look of the tradition! It enhances the curve of their neck. Also Fjords have extremely thick and heavy manes so the weight of a long mane can ruin their crest

Thank you Eqemmy! Yes I do :) If you can find and afford a Fjord get one!! Fjords are AMAZING Horses! But watch out...Once you own a Fjord you will be ruined for other breeds! Fjord horses are so smart, they are so calm and such thinkers! You no longer have to live every minute wondering if your horse will spook in the next 5 seconds and you'll lose your seat. They are SWEET and Willing, they can be stinkers though, since they are so smart they are also very good at outthinking you! But they also are incredibly LOVING and loyal Horses
