lots of annotations to explain the wireless Receiver board wiring of this powerful motorguide 75 pound thrust wireless saltwater trolling motor - I did't see any of this kind of videos, so posting to help others. Subscribe for part 4 to see how this motor working beautifully. Now, it is working beautifully with remote control and kicking, screaming and running nicely.
Part 3 - In this video, I show you how I use volt meter to trouble shoot it before I put the control board back and explaining how the wiring work inside the wireless control board (receiver) and how the 12v battery power is now coming out of the control board to the power head and to the lower unit. That is why the prop was ABLE to turn and start working.

This is a very nice Motorguide saltwater wireless variable speed trolling motor 75 pounds thrust 24 volts. It was not working when I bought it. I hooked up the 24 volts power, but motor would not spin. I opened up the powerhead, and hooked up the red wire to + battery terminal and white wire to - battery terminal bypassing the TM controlled board. Amazingly, the motor spinned! so the lower unit was in perfect working condition (this alone is a $300 part for saltwater TM). I have trolling motor like the one u worked on. The problem I have is no power to power button. What do u think is problem

my motor runs but neither of the remotes work to steer or operate the motor, I have sync'd the remotes separately by unplugging the power the plugging the power back in and holding , +, -, left and right together and still nothing

There maybe a loose connection in your trolling motor receiver, don't be afraid to open it up if it is already not working

I wish I could watch the video. Blur and jarring of the video caused motion sickness and I had to stop.

wow WTF is he doing ?the white wire is switched by remote control that powers the motor only ,the small red/black wires on the module control the left/right movement of the motor ,disconnect the red/white wire and apply proper voltage 12/24 red to + white to - ,this will tell you if the motor is working .there are NO servicable parts on the module the little black battery he mentioned is a can capacitor,if you power the motor as explained and it works look at re-programing your foot control and if that doesnt work replace the module its a simple replacement
