What if a person gets a aftermarket brand that does not have the bus going sleeve inside it ? And also how do you know if the clutch is balanced with the aftermarket one of the clutch? The cover that is. Thanks for any help.. also I have play in my clutch on the spring side half today when I was adding a new kit with new spring and adjustable weights I noticed it had some wobble to it. It that’s normal? My rzr is new with 130 miles
Good video, thank you. I’ve been having problems with my primary clutch cover bushing pushing out towards the end of the clutch. I caught it early enough that it only came out maybe an 1/8”. I put a little sleeve retaining compound on it and pushed it back in. It pushed out a little again. I ended up ordering an aftermarket cover that has a lip on the end that the bushing bottoms out on. So it can only go in/come out from the inside. I’m really hoping this cures my problem.
Hunterworks Inc. I bought the ZRP cover. The only thing that I don’t like is that my clutch might not be balance now, but I don’t want that bushing coming out and wrecking both clutches and belt either.
That's okay there's a man in town here that owns a shop been doing it for 25 years. He was even wrong it's okay to be wrong every once in while. I found the problem myself the front drive gear had no teeth left on it so I figured the problem out myself and I'm going to get a new gear. I hope all my spelling is correct thanks anyway.
i have boost surge on my 18 turbo XP I have 32" tires and no clutch kit it only hit 7400 rpms could this be the problem it's dynojet tuned with dynojet wastegate 10 pis crack pressure aftermarket assassin's bov with 3 washers in it , and RPM charge tube been working on this problem for 7 months and cannot get it to go away only does it when I punch the throttle if I drive easy I have no problem
I’m trying to resolve a clutch issue with my machine. 2020 rzr xp turbo. I get up to 20 mph in low and the secondary makes a gnarly chatter sound that is similar to a tin can in a bicycle tire. Pull cover off, belt is high on the top and in the sheaves on the bottom (secondary clutch). Replaced spring and buttons in secondary still does it. I can see the secondary spinning in an oval but shaft is straight. Unbolt and bolt back on it’s fine until I hit about 20 mph again. Any ideas? Bad primary maybe? Any help appreciated
@@Hatch57 Not really, can be alignment, bad bearing or primary not opening, so you take a pic of belt as it sits in the primary from inside and see what is touching the belt. We have a video for this too
What happens if you do not mark your your helix cover and helix if you take that off? I know marking these things keeps it balanced, but what do you do if you don't mark them? I took mine apart without marking it.
Working on a 2005 Sportsman 500. The secondary clutch has what appears to be a damper plate on the outside, with 2 ears that can slides back and forth, about an inch, but doesn’t seem to tighten anything. No spring in it as well? Looked at different units, even golf cart, but didn’t see it anywhere.
I look at all the secondary clutches that I could find on line, but did not find this one. It has a slotted metal plate that seems to act as a damper, but with part missing?, possibly a neoprene or hard fibre shoe?
