Great video. Most needed. I've been trying to reset my oil level sensor. I replaced it the auto shop replaced the one I put on and they nor I can reset the oil level sensor. It always show low or at the minimum level. thks

Thanks for the video!! I did all of the test on my 03 BMW 745LI is there any way to test the ASK unit? Also my CD player is constantly making a noise like it is changing CD and my single CD player is doing the same. Is this my ASK unit?

What about if the navigation module is staying awake leaving the idrive on after locking the car?

Thanks for taking the time and create the video and explaining how it works and diagnose. I have e66 2008 750li with SOS bmw assist system malfunction and had no info to the right side on the radio FM,AM,ETC..., no sound and most of the things on the idrive did not work. Also the front speakers had static coming out like they are on and I think gps unit in the trunk was kind turning and turning. So I got one of the Fiber Optic Optical Loop Bypass Female Adapter and I have started in the trunk with the Satellite turner module , I disconnected the cable and had red blink light, so I connect the loop cable and while I started the car , I had all working again FM,AM,ETC all except for the Satellite radio not working anymore, So my question is is that what the problem I had? by looping the Sat receiver is this where my problem is? If the Mask unit is faulty, can bypass fiber optic at Mask unit will help to get normal audio in the car?

Thanks for the information. These videos are awesome. Especially becauseI just purchased a 06 750li and my DVD changer makes noise but does not release the disk drive. The same thing with the navigation system in the trunk it took the Navi disk and dont do anything. Any suggestion? I will try the process for the static in my passenger front speakers.

Hello, If any of the fiber optic line at the trunk is broken/cut, and let’s say from gps module, can I still use the bypass kit to have the system run normally without the gps module evethou the fiber optic line is broken?

Hello, we have a 2012 X3 and we checked all the optics and all working fine , what else could be the cause of having no sound ? Checked all components as well , main unit , amplifier , we tested all speakers ... everything seams to work except the sound

At first I wasn’t getting any sound and the display inside was not showing any stations. I tested the signal from the fiber cable inside the glove box as well as my navigation system in the trunk area. Both areas gave me a blinking signal. However, when I plugged in the lollipop fiber optic bypass into the satellite tuner, the radio began working, and I could see the stations and change the stations again. The audio began working too but there was some static and the sound kept breaking up. I never tested the Logic 7 Amp because my original issue was no sound and no radio channels. So now I’m curious what the issue could be. Do you have any suggestions what to do next or what the issue(s) may be? I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thanks

Hey my screen is completely black no sound at all my single cd spit out a cd so the fiber optic loop must be fine to that point the changer door is broken but still functions is my best bet trying to replace the monitor? I was about to bypass everything and install double din in glove please help

Thank you for this video, I have a 2008 BMW 750 and when I turn on the radio I get no sound just a low static. I do have sound for the parking sensors door chimes seatbelts all of that but just the radio has no sound. Is there a fuse or something I should be checking?

Unfortunately in my case the ASK unit is bad, which makes everything in the optical loop appear bad. I have a 2004 BMW 745Li. ASK units are hard to find...

Very very helpful video, I have a weird issue, all units are generating light so there is no MOST ring break, the problem is I have no radio station, cd and cdc are grayed out and when I inset cd in ask unit it tries to read it then goes back to FM, when I turn the volume all the way up I hear hissing, what could be the issue? Video was great. I checked all my module and they all have the blinking light. When I try to bypass the AMFm Turner in the rear with the optic wire there wasnt any sound. when I hooked it back up to the AFM Turner then there was sound. the issue is that the front left speaker and the rear right speaker is working but none of the other speakers are. What could be causing this.

I have a 2002 bmw745li and soon as I crank it up the acceptance button always show up then after you accept then the radio shows up but no sound or stations shown.. the door chime is not coming on also..only problem I've seen is the cd changer won't eject but has power.. also my AC was just blowing snow balls now it's not even blowing at all but is clicking on when I hit my ac botton.. the car only has 64000 so I know it's not much.. I bypassed the amp, and still no sound, does this mean the amp is ok? Two quick question, can you bypass the ASK unit to see if this is faulty? And second, must the cd cartridge be in the cd changer for the radio to work??

Thanks for the Tutorial. Great Job. The Radio in my 2006 BMW 750i does not produce any sound nor display the radio channels as well as navigation. I tried your test without the fiber optic Jumper by unplugging and plugging back each Module's fiber optic cable one at a time to check if signal is transferring. Apparently everything seems to work fine as signal is passed from one module to the other as indicated with the Red blinking light. However i noticed there is no red blinking light in the fiber optic cable in the glove box of which you said it is possible the ASK system is bad. I bought another one and still no changes. Can this be an issue with a fuse at the back? I have tried everything else but don't know where else to check again. Please HELP...
