How to tune a Floyd Rose bridge - for newbies 

Man Iv been playing guitar for years and never owned a Floyd rose bridge... but I just got one and had no idea how to tune it.... thanks for this video brother

I’ve watched 4 “how to tune Floyd Rose” videos and this one seems like the easiest method. Now I’m not so intimidated and can’t wait to get one! Edit: 1 year later I now have a Dean Dime. I use this tuning method regularly. And I abuse the heck out of the Floyd haha!

Hey riff lord🤘 just got an e v h 5150 stealth your video was amazing with tuning only question my guitar came with d-tuna setup so when I go to fine-tune My low E-string the fine tuner doesn't spin because of the d-tuna is it enough if I get that low E close at the headstock will I be good or is there a way of unlocking the the tuna so I can spin the fine tuner

I'm used to playing Ibanez and I just bought a used Jackson with Floyd Rose set up now I feel a little bit more comfortable trying to set it up thanks

If you don't turn your fine tune nuts clockwise a bit you won't be able to fine tune down/flat in pitch. Correct?

Hey thanks man. I got my first floyd a couple weeks ago, and I don’t know if I didn’t catch the tip or not, but what happens if I ran out of run on the fine tuners? Should I unlock the nut and loosen the fine tuner and tighten the tuner on the headstock?

What if you need to just retune one string? Do you have to loosen all the locking nuts and loosen the bridge on all of them or just one? My low E is on D and I wanna turn it back to D

This is a great video., you break it down so easy to understand. I bought a Jackson Dinky JS32 with a Floyd Rose about a year ago after eyeing one up for awhile. I will say, definitely was a little bit of a learning curve with the Floyd Rose. However, once you get the hang of it it’s really not all that different. Also I couldn’t agree more with you, a lot of videos people go into way to much detail trying to explain how to tune with a Floyd Rose and it gets super confusing. This is straight to the point and easy to follow. Not to mention it shows that tuning a Floyd Rose really isn’t that hard either.

Looking at all the comments i think my floyd rose may be broken. I Watch the tutorial, do the exact thing, and when Im done the first strings are WAY out of tune. Scheemes like the bridge tiltes backwards. Any help?

Is it possible to tune it to about where it needs to be without the high e? Im not able to get another string set right now and im wanting to tune up from c# standard to drop c so i think ill have to increase the tension in the back springs to account for tuning up, i just got my guitar and the high e immediately broke when i tried to do a bend 💀
