Damn thank you! I had to tune my les Paul every 5 mins but after using this method I haven't tuned my guitar for days and I am surprised that it's in perfect tune. Even the G string is behaving itself!

You are too good! My guitar used to buzz a little, my temolo would knock it out of tune, and when I would bend it would get out of tune. But now I have a perfectly set-up guitar and I can use my tremolo as hard as I want! Thanks a lot! You have changed my life!

Thanks for your videos Mr. Frudula! Even with the Italian accent, you are still much easier to understand and follow than most videos I've seen on here. True Professionalism.

@dieandgoaway . good question. Everything else being the same (diameter of strings/pitch,etc) the length of the portion of strings beyond the saddles does not have any influence on the tone. The first angle (from saddel to baseplate) though influences the "feel" you have on the fretboard but this mainly happens on the nut side and on bendings.

Graphite and derivate are good when you have a tremolo on a guitar and you mean to use it. Sound is also good even if nothing IMO beats bone and a good well made bone nut made by a pro, can compare to graphite in allowing tremolo performace.

Great video. Following these procedures really does stabilize tuning much better than just "tuning up" alone. Looking forward to your intonation video and hoping it will address that finicky B string. I flat the B ever so slightly for better tuning (to my ears) up/down the fretboard but it always "creeps" up and requires constant tweaking to keep it slightly flatted. Any advice to remedy this situation?

@dieandgoaway A fixed bridge. Twisting the strings damage them (especially on a bass) and also the portion of strings which is not playing deosn't have any importance on tensionexcept for the "sensation" we perceive near the torsion on bendings and picking

Do You cover bridge intonation? Also do you instruct on setting up wraparound type bridges such as on Les Paul Juniors and PRS Guitars?

Hi Galeazzo, I just installed polyweb coated strings. Do you think stretching them can damage the coating? Thanks for all your videos.

Mr. Frudua, what is your thoughts on graphite nuts? Do you suggest them as well as graphite saddles?
@pupwinder
@pupwinder 13 лет назад
@fruduadirectdeal You would think so, since the rest of the strings seem to. I find the flatting of the B strings somewhat "necessary" for the A and F#7 forms, especially as you move up the neck. The offset is slight, but the impact seems dramatic. I was thinking there might be a way to account for it via intonation. Anyway, I look forward to your intonation video. Any other thoughts would be much appreciated. Either way,Thanks for the reply.

to keep the value of the guitar for resale you should find a vintage gibson ABR1 on ebay, or if you want a new one , check out tone pros.

@pupwinder It should fix itself to a given tuning while strecthed... no?

bridge setup question: Should the stopbar-tailpiece bridge be screwed down as low as possible so it sits on the guitar top? Or should I raise is a little so the string clears the hole cleanly?

Hey man! I'm having trouble on my Copy Les Paul. Gibson said that an angled headstock improves sustain. I've done something on the past. I just raised the action and I loved the sustain. But because of too much string angle. It doesn't stay in tune. It gets back after when I do the neck bending technique or it gets complicated if I tune it on the headstock. Any ideas how to fix this?

I have a les paul and my G string will always go out of tune,why? even when I already stretch the strings. Do I have to change the g string and make more wraps on the stringpost or it is some problem with the tuner?

It would be nice though to get a response to your question.I wanted to see his answer myself. go to Gibson web sight .they have 24 hour help

Where are the strings breaking? Did you put a smaller gauge strings? Did you change the brand? Go back to the original situation. Before you play stretch the strings as I explain. They will never get sharp again.
