This is great! I knew there had to be an easier way than fumbling with 2 needles! Thank you so much for a great tutorial!

Yes it is great but can only be done in strips...rather than a larger piece which can only be done with two needles or circular needles. Obviously strips will have to be sewn together later for a larger finished piece.

I learned to knit finally after years of thinking it was harder than crochet. No so. Knitting is way easier! The only thing harder is how to fix mistakes. So much easier in crochet to fix mistakes. But give it a try. It really is easier.

I really appreciate how you tell “I’ll know I did it right when...” I’ve been a crocheter for 12+ years, but have never tried Tunisian. Even though I don’t have the right hook for it yet, I’m motivated to try a sample on a hook I already have because this tutorial was so clear. Thank you!

I've watched two of your videos now and I just wanted to tell you how well done your videos are. No extra fluff, straightforward, good camera work, good speaking voice, clear, concise, easy to follow, good explanations, etc. You would think videos like this would be easy to find and make but you have a gift as I've seen so many videos that leave me lost/bored/confused. Keep up the great work!

This was an amazing tutorial for a beginner to Tunisian crochet! I really loved that you used a sewing needle to show exactly where the hook should be going through, it made it so easy to follow. I've been crocheting traditionally for years, picked up knitting last year, and now I'm onto Tunisian crochet for my next project. Happy crafting!

You are an excellent teacher! Thank you for taking the time to concisely explain the details. For example, keeping count of your loops, turnin over your work to use the "bumps" rather than the "Vees", inserting your hook between the front and back vertical bars, and on the last stitch inserting your hook behind both bars. I'm very impressed, and as a beginner, I will be coming back to your tutorials often. Thanks again!

I'm a knitter much more than a crocheter, and while I was trying to get it firmly in my head which part of the stitch to put the hook in while pulling up loops, it dawned on me that's exactly the same as a knit stitch that you're inserting into. You're almost knitting with a crochet hook for that portion of the stitch pattern. I guess that's why your Bestie Scarf (which I really like) reminds me so much of a Fisherman's Knit Stitch pattern. Anyway, this tutorial is very thorough and easy to follow. Thanks.

I normally crochet but I wanted to give tunisian crochet a try. I figured I would try this first to see what I think. It was fun and my hands don't hurt like regular crochet has. So thank you for posting this. My question comes from using the same yarn and hook size but when I try simple stitch, it was the same width but it came out longer even though it was exactly the same number as the knit stitch. Has anyone else had this problem? I really want to try to make the afghan sampler but worry I will mess it up before I really begin. Thank you for anyone who reads this and answers!

If tunisian knit stitch crochets up thicker then would it look nice in a thinner yarn, say a 5 ply, or something? You have got me all fired up and I have just ordered the Denise tunisian set. I live in Australia and managed to get a set from a yarn shop online here. I watched your hook review video, looked all over and at all sorts of products and companies and decided that Denise might be the go for me. I want to make your ripple stitch cushion cover. Thanks so much for your videos, I really have learnt so much and feel confident that I can tackle this. I have had a go with long needles and find them cumbersome so cables will be easier for me and my small hands, I'm sure.
