I can tell this series is going to help me out big time I've got an 00' Silverado Single cab/stepside with the 4.8 and a turbo kit I found laying around at the shop and impented communism upon 😂
Can't wait to see the build! I turbocharged my Silverado for the exact same reason, to tow! I love my setup (1500, 4.8l, 60e, 67/65, 3.23 gears, stock converter, stock cam, 40k miles) and see boost as low as 1500 rpm. You're starting with a better combo in the 2500 and I'm interested to see how that turbo works on a 6.0

Good stuff brother. That 66 should light off fast as hell. I know the one I had in my truck first would hit full boost before 2500 rpms with the stock converter and felt great down low which is what you’re looking for. I’m looking forward to the tow rig build for sure. I’ve actually been kicking around the idea of doing a small rear mount in my Avalanche for the same purpose. 😉
I subscribed because I need to learn some things before I turbo my s10 I’m building. I’m partially cheating tho, I’m waiting for Fahler Performance to get done with the full hot side he’s building for the s10’s.
Hey sir I would love to have a list and prices of what you would do to my truck I have a Chevy 2011 Lt truck it his the 5.3 in the truck and I just want it to have more HP and to tow better would I have to do anything to my more soo it don’t blow nothing up : this was a good video would like to know more I have never done a turbo on a truck
Julia the only factory regulator that I know of that has any issues handling the Walbro 450 he mentioned in this video is the Vette regulator/ filter. I actually went through two of them on my last build before switching to an eBay adjustable regulator. The rail mounted regulators and late model truck regulators seem to handle them fine from what I’ve seen.
if you think that the exducer is the exhaust side and the inducer is the intake side of the turbo you shoud not be explaining about turbochargers. other than that, love your channel.

That BOV is the gen1 nock off from the tial BOV and in all honesty they work better and sound better then the genuine Tial. The gen2 nock off bov it crap. Get the gen1
Although this kit is for the small block v8 series,this same kit could go on the 4.3 and could be rigged with 3". 2.5" may be more appropriate for the for the amount of air flow the 4.3 Six experiences.
I have an 2012 lh6 low miles I did my dod delete have 799 heads ,stock converter for now, wanting to turbo with ac still was need help on what I maybe could get

This build the truck went 60k miles pulling my race cars to the track going 12.9 in the quarter on street tires then I sold it in running working order

Get a GT45 they run for 150 to 200 bucks gets u to like 600hp and maybe 650 but u will have to get a bigger and better like vs racing. Personally I would buy the 400$ vs turbo racing turbo. There u go tukachi wannabe
Hey Hunter, with regards to the intercooler piping, you mentioned you also used this kit for your civic. Did all the pipes fit up or did you still need to do your own fab? Asking for my build, cheers.
HunterTuned which one is better? I’m leaning towards the BB 6766. It has the larger back housing and more efficient wheel. Have you any experience with this turbo? Like how good is the bb version compared to the JB?
