You are a genius and a lifesaver! I needed to make a bustier for my daughter's prom dress and used a secondhand fitted shirt to make a pattern by following your instructions. It was easier and fit her better than any store pattern would have by far. All I had to do was make sure the dress and shirt material had the same level of strechiness, which was easy. That's a good question! I needed to sew across the top of the bra cups to enclose them which would've been difficult to do with the underwires in. Hope that helps!
