This channel is literally the only one on youtube that I consistently actually learn new techniques and skills that i've never even considered previously.
The audio conversion functions has to be Abletons best feature. You can just beat box into a mic then use the slice to midi drums and bam you get the beat you had in your head in the form of a 606 kit. Then you can hum a melody and use the melody midi conversation and badabingbadaboom you have a song haha. But no really it's a game changer in terms of brainstorming music ideas. Anyways great video once again man. Keep it up!
Er... I've been using Devious Machines' DUCK for a couple of years now. As far as I understand it's a volume shaper not a compressor and it sidechains to audio no problem.
7:40 TBH I thought the webinar discount was for all three courses and was super bummed to find that it was only for the first two courses. But I'm happy to support you and if it turns out I am committed and successful enough after the first two courses to warrant getting the third one then I'll probably do so anyway.
I would love to ask a question about M4L device new recently with the 11 update. Its called Envelope to MPE and i use the device on any audio and then route the signal to Shaperbox. Have you seen this done at all? I just set up the Shaperbox to receive the information from the device like midi(one shot) but its really from the audio clip. The only problem is that its on the whole range with no filter, so i just make a mulitband rack with it and send out the frequency that i need to send for the ducking. Curious if you wouldn't mind trying it to see if that might be a more "dialed in" approach or if you feel duck buddy is superior due to velocity. Also wondering if i could add velocity settings in shaperbox or using the midi device. I love this method and was blown away to see duck buddy was free! Love it thanks so much. :)
проблема замапил кнопку на миди-клавиатуре (кнопку записи) , когда ее надимаю запись идет, но только тогда , когда я ее удерживаю, как сделать так что бы запись шла от отдного нажатия? Спасибо большое
There's a Max for live device that uses audio to duck a signal forgot the name but it's way too expensive for a m4l device and it's filled with bugs. Hopefully slynk and his crew will add an audio version of duckbuddy
