I got a license with my Minilab MKii have been using Lite since 9. Using 11 lite I've found that there isnt much I can't do aside from using M4L devices. Sometimes I have to combine samples (usually drum & bass or multiple guitars) when mixing to fit in the 8x8 track limits. The only reason I really would like to get the Standard license is to be able to use the M4L devices. Thanks for another fantastic video!
There is no such a thing like pleasing or unpleasing frequencies. Otherwise there would be a one tuning good for all songs, all sounds on earth and there is. Flat response or tilted flat response
Lite is fantastic. I went from a "independently sourced" version of Live 10 Suite down to 10 Lite years ago. I felt like it was time to grow up a little. I even ditched *all* of my cracked VSTs. It was honestly amazing. My skill level skyrocketed sort of directly inverse to the hard limits of switching from Suite to Lite. I bought the upgrade to Live 10 Intro (the $90 version) a few months in and there was a real sense of progression and accomplishment. If you're a beginner, start small! You won't regret it. You don't need 99.9% of the shit influencers plaster on your timeline or what gets stuffed into your algorithm.
Unfortunately that's because Android audio is kind of a dumpster fire. It's really difficult to make things much more complicated than audio toys with it. It sucks, because I generally prefer Android to iOS.
@igmusicandflying yeah I have read and heard the same things, it just seems silly to me though considering android has things like bandlab, which is a fairly flushed DAW, I actually use that for a lot of stuff because I can export midi and just bring it into ableton, but it would be so awesome to have a like extra lite ableton that ran on android and had easier transfer over, I really don't think it should be -too-difficult to port maybe a more watered down version of the ios, to android, but idk how their code is all figured out and I've never made an audio app, but it still breaks my heart lol
@@igmusicandflyingSee, I’d accept that excuse if it wasn’t for the fact that as the previous comment mentioned, Bandlab is on android, but also, FL Studio mobile is also available on android too and is also quite a fleshed out mobile DAW.
What pisses me off the most is that Live 11 Suite has limit of 12 damn return tracks. It's the most simplest thing in the world to lift that limit, but they made it specifically to make me pay for Live 12 upgrade to have unlimited return tracks. Cheers!
@@igmusicandflying Yup it does, and I agree, that would be the limitation i would worry about but honestly a good challenge to make a full awesome song with just 8 tracks.
If you're broke, I would recommend Limiter 06 by VladG and Loudmax by Thomas Mundt as some free limiter options with robust controls and a good sound. Ableton's limiter is unusable, but there are some good free limiters out there!!!
Just use a professional software and you already have the function mono to stereo and stereo to mono... this is wrong! is just trying to do something you cant do
Worth mentioning that you can pay for the free bundle, which removes the restrictions on the window resizing and also removes the banners. It's a small price for such an amazing bundle!
I know. Super old video and I should've already funked around with Operator after almost 5 years of working with Ableton. But dude... In this video you've said "I hope, your gears are turning a little bit" more than once and MY GEARS TURN SO HARD, if one could harvest the energy as electricity, it would power Berlin for a few weeks at least! 😂❤❤❤
I got more out of this tutorial and it’s honestly embarrassing how long it took me to understand simple concepts about sound and applying them correctly. Thanks for your instruction. Now it’s time to work on learning to listen to what’s going on better 😊 🎶☮️🎶💟🎶☯️🎶
I got more out of this tutorial and it’s honestly embarrassing how long it took me to understand simple concepts about sound and I’ve been playing music since I was a kid . 😅 Thanks for your instruction sir! 🎶☮️🎶💟🎶☯️🎶
Love the video. Thanx for sharing the knowledge and ur ideas. I assume that in the sound design course all the midi and Ableton 12 stuff is in there, no? Is there a contact email?
I wish you would have explained how you figured out it was the fabfilter out of all the gibberish there. Now Im still stuck trying to figure out what is the cause..
Thanks so much for your Roar video. Brilliant!!! Could you let me know how it's possible to automate the switching on and off of the effects in Live? I've searched and can't find how to do it. You demonstrated tis early on in your video describing the "boring sound" becoming treated and switching on Roar to all the elements in the track. Cheers from Wales (UK) Paul h
