very helpful and informative video, i got brave browser software working following your guide. thanks a lot ! but one thing i did different is i did not actually install the exe file in windows directly, but rather to sandbox virtual os and then copied the folder to portableapps folder.
The point of a portable app is so that it can run on another computer even it was completely wiped. This method might allow it to work on your pc but not another.
It still maybe accessing depend files on you C: drive. You now need to test it on a different computer, to see it will run. If it does, that's 100% it still is not accessing common files in common folders of a different computer. To find out, look for other videos on this subject.
This video provides incomplete information, you'll want to find a better tutorial. EXPAINATION: To make an app portable you need to do more than to move it's exe and files. Apps write permanent and temporary info to your appdata folder and registry so failing to account for this you may leave your sensitive info (like login details) on a computer you were visiting. Portable apps has tutorials on how to properly make an app ACTUALLY portable. I'm new to making apps portable, so I can't give a better guide, but I have enough technical experience to tell you to look for better information.
