It seems the newer Samsung TVs dont have the ability to disable BT. Even when the TV is off the BT signal is still being broadcast and pings more frequently than when the TV is on. Seems a little odd and slightly concerning.
Got an S90C newest generation and there is simply no point labeled 'BT Support' in the MRT options menu. I'm constantly receiving pairing requests from my stupid neighbors - it's so incredibly annoying .... I think they removed it in favor of the new BT remote
My neighbor has been trying to connect to my TV about 25 times the last hour. It absolutely boggles my mind these TVs are permanently in pairing mode and there's not a menu option to disable it. If you disable it in the engineering menu the remote no longer works. This is absurd. How is pairing mode not an option?
Did you find any way to do it? Cause this video is not really helpful , i have same problem my neighbor was trying to connect to my TV but here is no any "turn off bluetooth" so idk what to do
We had this same issue... Didn't want to return the TV, so I ended up opening the TV up from the back (several videos on this) and found the bluetooth module. Newer Samsung TVs is a ribbon cable from the motherboard to the power button at the bottom. This module is WiFi, BT, and IR, so we couldn't just unplug it like some older TVs. What we did was unplugged the ribbon cable at the MB and covered pins 10/11 with electrical tape, through process of elimination. This took out WiFi and BT. There may be a combination of covering pins that keeps WiFi and disables BT, but we did not want WiFi anyway since we are using a streaming device as one of the HDMI connections and there is an ethernet port if we wanted to connect the TV as well. I hope someone finds this helpful! I am sure it voids the warranty, but Samsung support wasn't helping with this anyway 😂😂😂😂
@@jordanhoffman300 I don't consider this a viable solution since it kills the bluetooth remote. Also, you can just as well disable bluetooth entirely from the service menu. Android TV devices have a simple mechanism for disabling bluetooth notifcations. It's unfortunate Tizen doesn't have the same ability.
@@clintkennedy8387 I would agree that it's outrageous that Samsung does not give the option to disable broadcasting BT. The remote that came with ours has IR built in. A possibility would be to purchase a generic Samsung remote to use. Just passing along what worked for us in this instance 👍🏼👍🏼
