This quick video shows you how to turn off the "change engine oil" light.
1.Turn key to "ACC" (but do not start)
2. Pump the gas pedal 3 times quickly
3. Change engine oil light will flash
4. No more change engine oil light

I really appreciate this video! just changed the oil in my 2000 silverado aka Charlene and this worked like a charm. Charlene has 103,000 miles on her now and still running like a champ. They don't make em like they used to! 👍👍

Monster commenter just be careful if you see the "low oil level" light- it REALLY Works. Add oil! Mine was okay, but it happened. Thanks !

ibaj it's a timer. Otherwise it would turn itself off if the oil was changed

I think i just figured it out. One you get it on the on position. Pump the gass 3 times then turn it on.

@noelsnave9395 I was losing my mind. 3 pumps. 4 pumps. 5 pumps. 10 pumps. Key off, key on, key in run etc. That did it. Just key on, pump 3 times and start
