I had everything wired correctly and turned this to Auto on my TV. I couldn't figure out why it didn't work until I also turned it on my receiver. My receiver had a On Screen menu with Setup. There I had to turn on ARC too. Now everything works great. If you can't figure it out, you should go to your receiver setup menu because both TV and Receiver needs to have this ARC turned on
Love your videos. I have my receiver and tv set up perfectly! The only thing I want to change is that I 'd like to power the tv ON but without auto powering the receiver on as well. (Lots of instances that I just want the tv on for background light / noise / audio while I'm just reading or what not. )
Very simple . The only video that I could follow all the way . Unfortunate the sound bar isn’t speaking .. however I was able to follow your instructions .. that s an accomplishment fir me
Please can you help? Very helpful video I’ve found the setting for eARK ( it’s greyed out) but when I click on it it says not available, it’s a brand new AU8000 TV and a Samsung HW-J6000 Curved sound bar with eARK HDMI on it, Thanking you in advance 🙏🏼
Thank you for the video. I’m struggling to get this working with my Yamaha rxv371 receiver. Either I have too old hdmi or wrong settings in my receiver. So I have hdmi arc out in receiver to hdmi e-arc in samsung tv (qn90), e-arc and other settings turned on in tv. In receiver hdmi arc and hdmi control are on. Then I have selected source to be AV4 which is the standard for TV audio, but somehow I still think that the source in my receiver is wrong. How are your receiver settings?
I own samsung frame (2020) and a yanaha rx-v583 receiver which supports 4k hdr pass through and i can't figure out how to enable the 4kpass through cause the avr shows video out 1080p but uve enabled the 4 upscaling in the receiver please help
Hi friend. My speakers work through hdmi arc to a coverter to rca the volume cant be controlled via the samsung remote. I have a samsug cu8500 with the same menu system as yours. But when i try and control the volume output, the minus symbol flashes as if its working but volume stays the same.
Iam not getting sound on my soundbar(connected through arc) for certain apps like netflix, Disney..etc but iam getting sound for youtube and system sound on the soundbar
I have a wifi Q? If I have a DVD player with a internet port and a TV with a internet port and both have streaming services, do I plug both in from the ,what is it, the modem or router or just one??? Do I have to decide which device I'm going to stream from??
Hey just a quick question if I have more devices connected to my av reciver through hdmi (ps4, cable box and dvd player) is it easy to switch inputs with samsung remote because my goal is to use only one remote (I have the samsung one remote small one with few buttons)
Hi great video. Thanks. I have a Samsung smart 7 series 55 paired with a vizio 5.1 sound system. It was all working fantastic for almost a year. All of a sudden HDMI-ARC option in the sound output doesn't show. The Anynet+ option in expert settings is on, output type in set to PCM. Still HDMI sound output option doesn't show. What you think might be the problem? I've ordered a 4k support HDMI cable via Amazon, so will check if its a cable issue once it arrives and will update this section. However you think anything else might be an issue? Pls help. Thanks in advance
Forgot to mention that the speaker works on optical sound out. But the thing is, I use optical out for my wireless headphones transmitter. So I really want my HDMI ARC to work. Will update once new HDMI Cable arrives. Thanks.
@@Dino_Saurus Yes I did... apparently it is the fault of the TV. I went to the Vizio help site and followed their step-by-step guide. I had to unplug all devices (TV and the Sound bar) completely and let it sit unplugged for about 15 mins or so. I think this reset them completely. When I plugged them back it, the HDMI automatically recognized and started working like a charm. Much to my relief.
Hello, thank you for the video. I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. I have ARC set on my Samsung TV to auto. My receiver is an Onkyo TX-NR727. I am running Bose Acoustimass 5.1. The problem is, when watching TV, you can seldom hear a click in the receiver as if it is changing signal output, but then the voices get muffled and you only hear background music or sound effects. I go the the receiver and it changes automatically from say Dolby, to TX Movie, to Direct. I thought it was the receiver, so I swapped it out for the same one from another setup I have and it does the same thing. So I switched HDMI cables from the cable (Xfinity) box to the receiver, problem is still there. I moved the HDMI cable located in HDMI 1 from the TV to HDMI 2, same problem. Any ideas how to fix? Thank you.
I'm confused man. I have enabled these settings and double checked the connections are right and we still can't get any sound through this stupid thing. I don't understand what I'm missing. It's on the right input, its in the right port, everything is on, the settings have been enabled.
I turned off arc when I first got my series 50 because I didn’t want my xbox turning off each time I turned on my tv I recently brought my xbox to the other room for a night and now since I’ve moved it back the arc setting refuses to shut off.. now I’m stuck with my xbox turning on if my tv is turned on..
I bought q80a and i connected to sound bar 5.1channel but sound coming from 2.1 channel 😢 can you help how to work center channel 🤔 i checked hdmi cable and optical also
The H DMI arc function is not there in my settings but it shows that I have an E arc port on the back of my Q series TV I turned on the any connect option and option and still it does not show up
On my Samsung tv I go into Advance Settings only to find that the option to turn on arc is light grey. The other settings are brilliant white. When I click on the light grey it says ‘option not supported’. Which is odd as it has earc plug on the back of tv and the receiver? Both of which are less than 6 months old.
I have lhd677 wanted to connect to samsung Au7700 tv with hdmi cable received in the box of the home theater system but when i did step it still didn't get sound unless i keep it to Bluetooth.
Funny how old this video was and have 2021 85” qled and new 950 sound bar, was only working on arc, had to go in like he did and switched to eArc. Thank you, you would think both being Samsung it would be auto eArc
I’ve done exactly what you said but still my tv won’t play through the soundbar. I’ve done a reset on the soundbar and swapped hdmi cables. It used to work but stopped working a few days ago.
i just got a new sound bar and installed the hdmi ARC cable. it works fine on regular tv but when on the fire stick the fire stick cuts off and on with it? my tv has netfix and all other apps installed but some will not work with samsung tv. tha'ts why i use the fire stick. any clue why it cuts out?
I have a THE FRAME 2021 55" , connected to my Denon E300 receiver over the E-ARC HDMI port. The ANYNET TV+ is enabled, E-ARC is AUTO, but DIGITAL OUTPUT AUDIO only displays PCM and AUTO , PASSTHRU is grayed out, so the sound that goes into the receiver is STEREO ONLY! How can I enable it to watch Netflix, Prime Videos, HBO Max using Dolby Digital? Thats crazy, I have tried everything but nothing works!
I have all of these settings done correctly, and i get audio from the front speakers but not the back ones. And it's not an issue with the speakers since when I viewed the movie on my Xbox instead of the TV, I got surround sound
I have a nakamichi soundbar, not sure what happened, but now I cannot change tv speaker output to my soundbar.. feel like I've flipped through every setting! Help me please!
No hdmi e-arc. It's like a 2019 samsung. Standard arc capabilities. Have had the sound bar working with it since the beginning. Think my toddler tinkered with the remotes.
I’ve done exactly as you showed and still no sound to the receiver. It only works when I use PS5 connected to receiver than receiver out ARC to eARC on TV. 🤔 Tv sound to receiver also works fine through optical cable. But hdmi sounds 20X better..
@@addismultitasking3504 I did for a while. But finally found out that my receiver had an option menus that’s shown on tv. There was an option to turn on ARC. It’s finally working 👌
If you are not getting any sound from cheaper HDMI sound bars and speakers, then you must go back to Sound>Expert settings and switch from digital to PCM settings. T
My TV (Samsung) doesn't even show the arc option on the sound settings.. the arc was working when I initially put the soundbar on but stopped after a week or so.. now can only use BT settings.. have tried alot of troubleshooting but still not getting arc to show up, and the arc source isn't even available on the soundbar now either, which is also Samsung
I tried to play a movie from hard disk external with MLP encoded sound to my tv ( Samsung q80t 49 inchi) conecteze to Philips Soundbar b95/10 and my tv didn't recognize the format...I guess my tv have earc but it's not 2.1????
Having the same issue. Q90a switches to the receiver for about 20 seconds, then reverts itself back to the TV speakers. Super frustrating. Deck works for that 20 seconds. Trying to find a fix, but no luck so far.
I don't have a specific solution, but getting a newer receiver seems to have solved my issue. I don't know if it was an eARC issue, hdmi cable issue(tried multiple), or just new TV not liking slightly older receiver issue. But a hardware update solved the issue. Badness for anyone looking for a cheap fix.
When I use e-ARC there is a stupid dialog that comes up on the left side of the Samsung TV every single time you adjust the volume up or down. How do you get rid of that?
Why did they have to make it complicated, I'm great with electronically but this is my first Samsung TV like dam, I'm boutta go back to my old TV cause this is annoying, I did this part already but I'm stuck at the power on part where my Xbox is on but apparently the TV don't think it is
I have gone through this and the optical cable set ups and neither worked! I also tried an analogue converter. That didn’t work neither. By chance I found I could pair my external system via Bluetooth which allowed sound to come out of my speakers. Maybe it’s because I live in Germany and Samsung manufactured specifically a range for Germany as it states “Made for Germany”.
