in a video how she got to talk to remove the clear coat off of your wheels and make them really nice and shiny Chrome and then polish them to make them even more shinier Chrome #chevrolet #chromewheels
Yeah you have to send the machine marks completely flush and use different grit sandpaper to get a completely flat and smooth I started to do it on one wheel but never finished it
I sprayed the center strip on the wheels and let it bake for like 20 minutes in the Sun if you don't let It Bake then it takes forever for the clear coat to come off
Yeah you can clear coat them after they are polished it shouldn't hurt anything just make sure that you clean the wheels with rubbing alcohol before you clear coat them
I'll be making a video about it soon but because it's the back of the wheel and it's so tore up I use a wire brush rubbing alcohol and Brake Parts cleaner and then polish it
Yeah it will still work all you're doing is removing the clear coat but if you want it to be Chrome you'll have to sand down the machine marks till the wheel is smooth and flat metal and then use mother's mag and aluminum polish on a buffer.
Aluminum wheels are primered painted and sealed with a clear coat if you use the stripper it will remove the clear coat and paint and it will leave the wheel in a nice bare aluminum finish
It's called ( Citrus strip ) that used to be $10 now it's $15 at Lowe's or Home Depot I honestly thought that I mentioned it in the video but I guess I forgot
