My thoughts: Be sure to wear a quality breathing apparatus no matter what we are tearing apart. Asbestos is in every single thing on this planet. In fact, we are created from it. The issue with asbestos is that if our bodies get too much of one thing and not another, we usually go into a tailspin. Yes, it's most likely contaminated with asbestos. You can choose to spend the $400 to $1500 having someone say, yes. There is asbestos. Or just go buy a $50 breathing mask thing and use that. Cover your entire body with clothing while demolition of anything. It's just healthier. Small critters grow in dark places, and yes, they can get on you, and multiply. It happens more often than not. The vital point of all building materials is that there is mold in all material. So through time we all have to exchange the old with the new. If the wrong material gets contaminated with moisture it will begin growing only God knows what, why, how, and where for. Mold is deadly. Mold is what makes us old. Figure out the secret to making mold step back in time, will give us all back our lives, and stop feeling so stiff all the time.
