How to Unblock Your Sink - Pro Tip 

Mate you have just saved me a few quid! My sink was blocked and I’ve been plunging away to no avail. I followed your instructions on covering the overflow hole and managed to unblock my sink. On behalf of me and my wallet thank you sir!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I spent nearly 2 hours watching a TON of RU-vid videos and google articles.. this video nailed it with absolute ease.. NO money spent. NO acids or liquids/boiling water. NO getting hands and knees dirty tryna yank out pipes. (I did ALL of this and it didn’t work) Finally something soo simple done the job! I nearly lost hope and was dreading to spend a fortune. Wish I saw this sooner but so glad I did, Thanks again 🙌🏾

I tried boiling water, over 2 bottles of Liquid Plumber, and a plunger very similar to the one that you showed in your video, and was going to try to take some of the pipes apart to find where the clog was, but I prayed for God to help me find another way. After finding your video earlier today I thought I'd try my plunger again after putting my strainer with the stopper in, and now the clog is totally cleared out!! Thank you for this VITAL yet simple piece of advice which saves POLLUTING the environment with toxic chemicals - which a plumber told me to use. Our on-suite wash-hand basin has been so slow to drain. Using my old rubber plunger, it now disappears without a problem. You're a star!

I just unblocked my first clogged sink thanks to this video. It’s scarred me for life, but the blocking up all the water exits tip was where I was going wrong. This is probably the most useful video I've watched on RU-vid! Our kitchen sink was blocked, tried drain cleaner left overnight with no joy. Tried plunging for a couple of hours. The water just would not drain. Watched this video. Went back and tried again, this time blocking the overflow. All it took was a few plunges and the drain cleared!! Amazing.

Thanks to this video I spent £4 on a plunger from Wickes, and successfully unblocked 2 bathroom sinks, so more having to waste £4-£5 every few months on a liquid unblocker 😬Thank you so much!!! I used tissue to block the overflow hole. (Thought I’d mention that in case others don’t know what to use). Sink 1 unblocked after 2 minutes. Sink 2 took a a bit about 3-minutes. Happy days, as I was contemplating soda and vinegar which there was no guarantee would work. So glad I stumbled upon this video! Saved myself a lot of time and effort.

THANKS!!You just saved me!!! ..BEEN battling with my blocked kitchen sink all day...i bought coastic soda and another liquid unblocker and a black plunger similar to the one you have in your video but smaller, emptied half the liquids unblocker bottles , left it for 2 hrs , it didnt work.In fact when i used the plunger the water was coming out from the over-flow hole which means nothing was working! Only when i stumbled across your video and followed your technique i.e i block the over-flow hole first and then used the suction of the plunger in the sink like in your video and as if by MIRACLE all sorts of dirt,rubbish , etc gushed out of the sink hole! Tried branded cleaners/plunger/soda crystals thought I was about to start opening drains. But your advice on the simplest of remedies WORKED. Cover the overflow. How simple and that created the necessary pressure to force all through and really clear sink. Thank you.

Thanks , I spent £20.00 on stuff to unblock sink , & the plunger was the one last thing I used that removed the blockage , but that’s after a week of being covered in drain water , after trying everything to fix it …. Once It ran clear & blockage was removed , I thanked god & then I wanted to Thankyou …. Saved me from plumbers fees I really couldn’t afford. So Thankyou

after hours of putting acids down my drain you’re technique worked! Thank you!!

Not sure how drain plumbing is done in the UK, but in the US the under-sink drain pvc pipes are fixed together using plastic nuts and washers that come apart easily with force. I’ve unclogged drains with plungers and wouldn’t recommend it after having the pipes blow apart and water everywhere from the filled up clogged sink. Plumbing is done differently everywhere, but something to be mindful of if you are in the US.

My husband used three bottles of strong unblocker with no joy. Thanks to this video, we cleared it within less a minute. The key is the glamours assistant to block the over flow.........

This is amazing. Have had a blocked sink for about a week now and today the washing machine water was coming up the plug hole and flooded the kitchen. Absolutely fantastic just pulled pipes all over the place wife squealing in one ear look at the state of the kitchen. Had enough turned to your channel spotted the plunger and said to myself I have one of them in my shed I remember buying one of them years ago found it came running back into the kitchen the wife’s says what the hell is that I said stand back stand well back she said I’m away to my sons house call me when you have fixed my kitchen and with five minutes of plunging I unblocked my sink yeha I said that man’s channel is the best I would have giving you a big hug friend.so I phoned my wife six hours later and says it’s all done , great six hours break from nagging lol😂thank you friend once again.

A better way to unblock the sink is to pour 5 litres of petrol down the plughole and ignite . Clears it right up 😁🤣🤣😭😭
