Hello, thank you very much for your initiative with these videos. I have the same 9890 and I am getting a line at the beginning of each print that appears to be an absence of yellow. Any idea what it could be?

Hello, I wanted to ask if you follow the same process to take ink selector apart as you did with part 1 of the removing print head. In this video did you disconnect any wiring? Also, will I come across any error message when cleaning the ink selector/print head as you did in this video? Just trying to prepare myself. I have lost 3 channels black, cyan and magenta. Im down to 5 channels. I hoping this process helps in rescuing a couple of the channels I've lost. Also do you provide online support for a fee ??? Thanks in advance.

Thanks fr these great videos . Ink clogs are the worst. Did you have to eject the ink in your lines before removing the ink selector assembly from the printhead? Someone told me that It would leak ink all over if I didn’t do that. First. All I want to do is a reverse flush and clean on the printhead itself. Thank you

Hi! Thanks so much for what you do. I have second hand 9890 that has some apparent ink flow issues. I'm either pulling blank nozzle checks, faded prints or blank pages all together. I attempted to remove printhead for cleaning however one screw appears stripped. I did manage to place a napkin behind the printhead and flush the nozzles using piezo flush. The printer then prints a scant version of the nozzle check once and then blanks. I drew ink from damper and the syringe filled with foaming bubbles for all lines. Steady flow of ink is not coming through. Is this an ink tube/line issue? Is there a way to flush the lines? Does the print head need to be removed?

Put the printer in service mode and do a initial fill that will flush the lines it also used alot of inks. Look through the printer videos on the home channel page for the category printer tips you should find the video there

My printhead has no ink in the middle valves. I Squirted windex and nothing comes out of valve? Back fired!! Is that normal that 2 valves are clear? Everything else sprayed thru printhead. Just 2 did not? Is that normal?? Light black clogged

sounds like air in the line, try a couple doing an initial fill to get that air out and ink in or go into the settings and just run the cleaning on those 2 lines

I am pretty sure they snap out I would have to take the printer apart again to check, net time I do I will check that. I know it doesnt help your current situation

Hi! I currently working on bringing my Epson 7890 printer back from the dead and I’m almost there I got most of my colors except black but I’ve noticed sometimes I’m having ink leak from my print head. Is there something I can do to stop that? Also do you even removed that plastic part from the damper to clean ink. I’ve also ink following from my dampers so I’m wondering if the pressure of something is off

Sounds like a delaminated printbhead. If thr black is leaking from the printhead itself , you will need a new printhead.

I reread the comment and have a lnother question. Are you getting colors smeared together when you print or is it random drops? If thr printhead is bad if should have colors smearing together
