Thank you so much. In my opinion, the problem with watching TV shows to learn English is that most of them have no useful content.

If someone choose learning english through TV shows, it means two things: 1. he/she is not in a hurry and 2. He/she need something interesting/enjoyable enough to keep his/her attention with learning english. So if it has too much steps to do, it not enjoyable anymore and it will be very hard to keep doing it for 10-12 seasons. My solution is just listen for something easier to understand (like this video, it just 15 minutes, one person talking slowly). Once he/she can understand the entire video like this without subtitle, that is when he/she should try with TV shows, at this level maybe he/she can learning english while follow the storyline without too much distraction 😊

This is the first time that I watch your english lessons. I always use english subtitles to learn to read and write. It's difficult to understand all accents... I like to watch nature documentaries initially.

The difficulty isn't because the speech is fast, but because the actors whisper instead of speaking normally. Even with the volume up you can't hear them.

I'll give you much simpler explanation: you will NEVER understand most of tv shows and movies unless you live and preferably work a number of years in the pertinent country.
