Thank you , this is good to know. I may have a nugget of advice to help in a similar situation. On my laptop I have it configured to bypass log-in and I never created a pin. Sometimes after a Windows 10 update when the computer starts up it asks me to enter my pin which I never had in the first place. All I need to do is press on the physical power button on my laptop until it shuts down. When I press power to start up again it loads up to my home screen as usual.
